Hello KiwiFarm :)

Long time reader and I finaly decided to join on the fun. I didn't know which cow choosing for my first post among you (YandereDev ? Rebecca ?...). In the end I choose Ashu Solo because as a maths researcher I really almost die laughing reading some of Ashu's research papers

I was really intrigued by the "multidimensional matrix" he was so proud of and with a little help of google I finaly managed to read what it was all about... it was the most incredible bullshit I ever read. In the good way.
It was really a fascinating read. He didn't invent anything. At all. It's just regular matrices all in all, he didn't even realize how pointless his notations are and how it makes literaly no difference at all with regular matrices.

The only possible interresting fact about his research paper is... something already used in maths since at least the last century called "Block matrices".

It's really... sad he didn't even realize how pointless and stupid all of this theory is.
He is as much a mathematician as I am a marathon runner.
That's a very interesting writing style for a mathematician. What is your first language, good sir?

George W. Bush should have his honorary degrees revoked (maybe Jonathan Bishop could snap them up cheap from a second-hand bookstore?)

Ashu Solo:
"Bush has received honorary degrees from Harvard University, Yale University, Texas A&M University, University of Toronto, Sacred Heart University, Dartmouth College, and National Intelligence University. I emailed these universities with the arguments in this article to try to persuade them to revoke Bush’s honorary degrees. Harvard University referred the matter to their advisory committee on honorary degrees. University of Toronto referred the case to their governing council. The other universities didn’t bother responding."

I'll give full marks to Solo for publishing poetry, no matter how bad. Poetry is a tough gig. However, 2 problems with this ditty:
1. this verse goes contrary to the harassment and intimidation tactics Solo uses to shut up his detractors. That means Solo preaches free speech as long as he's not insulted by it?
2. What's with the unending references to Solo being American? He was born and raised in Canada. His Wilmington, Delaware address is a fake. It's a mail-forwarding address he never even paid for.

It has been alleged that Ashu Solo attempted to blackmail a popular radio talk show host. Emails have been leaked that show Ashu Solo threatening to reveal the host's past criminal arrest and conviction for stealing some batteries from a dept store. Ashu Solo concocted the ridiculous story to shut the radio host up. Solo was afraid the show host would uncover Solo's alleged fraudulent activities.
In an email to Solo the host wrote:
"I am tiring of your incessant bullying of anyone with whom you disagree, from your misunderstanding of civil litigation to even trying to intimidate me with your fictional story about Zellers [the dept store]"

In a reply email Solo wrote: (I'm not kidding. This is verbatim)

"I got millions of supporters who defend me and attack back when people attack me. See for yourself in the forums."

Contained in the string of bizzare emails to the radio host was Solo's threat:
"You were arrested at Zellers for shoplifting of batteries before you started your current show. I know the former Zellers security guard who arrested you. You said to him, "Do you know who I am?" to try to avoid getting arrested. You offered to pay for the batteries if he let you go. But he didn't let you go and you were criminally charged. "

Stuck record. Does this sound familiar?
"If you mess with me again, I can get the former security guard who arrested you to write about his experience with you. I know Web media outlets that will interview him and publish a story about it. Someone could also create a Web site with his write-up."

I can't handle any more absurdity right now. I'll save some for later.
The radio host's reaction?

"you've either gotten the wrong person or become completely delusional. . . I'm concerned for your mental health"

Why do you keep making your text so small?

Why do you keep making your text so small?
always looks huge on my screen so I select the size "2." I'll leave it as is from now on.

The sad saga of Solo and the talk show radio host continues. With tear-soaked cheeks. Solo emails the radio host and bemoans the horrible treatment he's been the victim of simply because of his courageous human rights advocacy.

"Because of the guy who attacked me over my civil rights cases, I got a severe rib bruise and was in extreme pain for a week. He also punched me in the sides of the head. I had to take anti-inflammatory pills for two weeks. That gave me an ulcer. Then I had to take proton pump inhibitors for six weeks to heal it. I still cough after eating as a result of the ulcer. I had to go to the chiropractor and massage therapist many times to heal from the rib bruise."

"I got a bad eye twitch for 3 weeks."

"I got physically attacked by a guy who recognized me."

". . . made me suffer from extreme anxiety for a few days. I could barely eat or sleep."

Ambulance. Stat!

Since the Solo family entirely consists of criminals, I'm just gonna go with this guy being the wussy cousin that couldn't throw down even if he wanted to, so instead ends up becoming a quasi-academic, social-justice tantrum thrower.

- Hindu - yes/no: who cares?
- lives with his parents - no
- vegetarian - yes/no: who cares
- dating site - yes/no: who cares?
- normal - "normal" is a very broad term. Solo has serious issues, no doubt about that.
- "white girlfriend" - probably ANY girlfriend
- "attention seeker" - many people are of the opinion Solo is a compulsive, lying, narcissistic, psychopath. That's what I've heard, I've never met him.
- "dysfunctional Indian family" - any Kiwi Farmers know about this? speak up. I've heard his father is a retired professor with a good reputation.
- lives with his mommy - I've heard he doesn't.
- "loner" "mad man" - Solo has issues. lots of them.

Am I the only guy these emails get leaked to? Another email from Solo to the radio host. Solo is trying to convince the host to stop saying bad things about him. Solo sounds a bit desperate emailing the radio host:

"I'm friends with a lot of journalists now, they know about the backlash I've faced, and they know I don't harass people. . . They clearly give me grounds for a civil claim against you [SURPRISE] . . . If you mess with me again, I can get the former security guard who arrested you to write about his experience with you. I know Web media outlets [Crocels, the hard-hitting news source?] that will interview him and publish a story about it. Someone could also create a Web site with his write-up. "

I'm only getting bits and pieces of this from an untraceable email address. "hypermenus" or something like that.

Solo, we know you're reading this. Help us out!

Glen, that was me you met on the dating site. We had that wild weekend fling (I still haven't got over the thrill of a tub of chocolate pudding on bare skin. hot). We promised each other not to say anything because our girlfriends didn't know we were gay. wink wink . . . call me.

(archiving doesn't work)
A Florida A&M University computer science professor is on the losing end of a long-running defamation suit that could cost him millions. And if he doesn't fully comply with a judge's order, Bhanu Prasad could be back behind bars.

Prasad was held in the Leon County jail for seven days following his arrest for civil and criminal contempt Wednesday for his failure to remove from the internet defamatory material about a University of Georgia computer science professor as ordered by Leon County Circuit Judge Charles Dodson. He was released from jail Tuesday afternoon.

Prasad, an expert in artificial intelligence, software engineering and operating systems who has taught at FAMU for more than 15 years, will remain free for seven days to give him another chance for him to comply with a previous court order demanding he take action to remove all previous online posts promoting unfounded allegations against UGA Professor Hamid Reza Arabnia, and a lucrative personal business owned by his wife, that sponsors academic and professional conferences in Las Vegas.

If he fails to comply, he could be sent back to jail for the remainder of a 30-day sentence.

The case highlights the perils of damaging someone's reputation in a digital age when false claims can live on the internet and come alive with every Google search.

Dodson’s ruling says Prasad has defied court-ordered injunctions associated with the case, primarily that he remove offending posts and websites deemed defaming.

The court also has ordered Prasad to pay a judgment of $2.3 million to Professor Arabnia and to the private enterprise, Computer Science Research Education and Applications, along with more than $650,000 in attorney’s fees.

“This case demonstrates the wonderful aspects of computer technology and the internet, and the tremendous damage that can be caused when it is abused,” Dodson wrote in his order. “This case is about an egregious cyber-attack and smear campaign perpetrated by the defendant, a computer science university professor.”

A case of defamation
Arabnia has been a UGA computer science professor since October 1987. He’s also editor-in-chief of The Journal of Supercomputing and speaks at conferences around the world.

Arabnia also is an organizer of Computer Science Research Education and Applications, is an organizer of World Congress in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Applied Computing, the scholarly conference known as WORLDCOMP.

Arabnia was responsible for booking keynote speakers, coordinating research/tutorial presentations, promotions, sales and registration.

Samira Arabnia, an attorney representing her father, said he first became aware of Prasad's attacks in early 2012, after hearing from colleagues, students and conference participants who had received damaging emails.

The emails described WORLDCOMP as “The World’s Biggest Fake Conference in Computer Science, a great shame brought to us by a computer science professor from Georgia, USA.”

The letters and emails also accused Arabnia of fraudulently saying that research papers would get “peer reviews," that speakers were not qualified and that Arabnia accepted every paper for review if the person paid the registration fees.

Websites promoting “Worlddump” also were created, along with disparaging posts about Arabnia, his organization and the conferences. All of the allegations were investigated and found to be false.

“At that time, we learned there were many websites created with these allegations,” Samira Arabnia said in an interview with the Tallahassee Democrat. “There were several hundred, if not thousands of websites, blogs, and emails that contain this defamatory information about my father."

She hired a cybersecurity investigator and an IP address was located and records were subpoenaed from Google, Yahoo and Hushmail. The vast majority of the IP addresses were from the Leon County Library. Others were from FAMU addresses and Prasad’s residence, she said.

In February 2013, Professor Arabnia sued Prasad for libel in Leon County Circuit Court.

After Judge George Reynolds ordered a forensics sweep of Prasad’s computers at work and at home, investigators found he had deleted hundreds of thousands of files and other evidence from his electronic devices, according to court documents.

“He put himself in a pretty bad position with the judge,” said Gary Printy, a Tallahassee attorney who represented Prasad for nearly two years before withdrawing in late 2017.

Take it down
In May 2016, Reynolds ruled Prasad liable for all claims and ordered him to remove from the internet all negative claims targeting Hamid Arabnia and his businesses.

In February 2017 bench trial, Leon Circuit Judge Charles Dodson ruled Prasad was liable and ruled for damages against him.

Three months later, Dodson ordered Prasad to take all action, “to request the removal from the Internet search engines including Google, Yahoo and Bing, all defamatory, disparaging, libelous, and false statements about plaintiffs that defendant posted on the Internet."

Dodson also ordered Prasad to pay $1 million in punitive damages to Arabnia’s company, Computer Science Research Education and Applications, and $1.3 million to Arabnia.

A major point of contention in the case was the court’s order that Prasad take “all action” to have the defamatory websites, emails and other posts removed from the Internet. Prasad did the bare minimum, sending correspondence to 22 of the 52 websites listed in the injunction despite the Judge’s warning that would not be sufficient, Samira Arabnia asserted.

But Printy said the judge’s wording of “taking all action to get documents removed from the Internet,” was vague.

Printy said the courts should have had Arabnia’s attorney send a letter to Google and other sites.

“Prasad can never be in compliance because there is no standard for him to follow,” Printy added. “It’s like ‘do something,’ and after you do it, I’ll tell you if I don’t like it, do it again.’”

Samira Arabnia said Prasad never did what he was supposed to do.

“He sent form letters but never followed up,” she said. “I believe he has the ability to remove comments from websites he created.”

Printy disagrees, saying, “there was zero chance he would be able to get it removed...we have the First Amendment so you cannot compel Google to take it down."

Digital resolution

What happens next is up to Prasad and the courts.

Last week’s order for his arrest says he can be kept in jail for 30 days. But after spending seven days in jail, he will be released for seven days, when he must “take all action” to comply with terms of the injunction.

If he does so before the seven days, he must file for an emergency hearing for the court’s review. If the court decides he has fully complied, the court will issue an order to waive the remainder of his incarceration on the criminal contempt order.

He could be sentenced indefinitely for civil contempt, if he fails to remove the unlawful defamatory material from the internet.

“My father and his colleagues went through hell because of Prasad," Samira Arabnia said. “The harm that this massive cyber-attack caused to my father professionally, financially, and emotionally needs to be fixed."

"In granting the 30-day stay, Dodson told Bhanu he should work closely with Samira Arabnia to satisfy her wording of the letters and be able to show he has gotten material removed or has taken steps to do so."

my favourite is his:
Hybrid Combination of Rubber Track with Road Wheels for a Vehicle

I'm not smart enough to figure out the scientific principles, but I think this invention includes putting rubber belts around each set of wheels on each side and letting the wheels turn the belt and therefore drive the vehicle. someone help me out with this. It sounds state-of-the-art cutting edge technology.

It looks retarded https://patents.google.com/patent/US20080258550

Based on the text, I am guessing this is supposed to be a rubber-tracked vehicle that can operate at highway speeds? I don't see the benefit. Any track that is rubber is going onto smaller vehicles like maybe a tiny Bobcat forklift. What the fuck do you need to do that you need a Bobcat going 65mph?
