Welcome to the Farms. Thanks for answering the questions.

To add onto the dogpile: did Phil ever try to involve you in Australatina in any way? Anything from role play to long, spergy explanations about the country?

Thank you for answering! That's really interesting!

Phil seems to be a more militant (albeit impotent) person online. Nothing he posts is ever pleasant or lighthearted or comical or congratulatory or anything. But you say that he was actually a fun person to be around and seemed to get some joy out of life at least when you two were hanging out.

I'm not really asking a question. As much as I make fun of Phil (and I think I've called him every derogatory term I can think of), I just really want him to breathe, chill the fuck out for a second, loosen his shoulders, and fucking relax. Not everything is terrible.

And, Phil... Isabel. Seriously, chill for a minute and think about your life.

Warning: extreme powerleveling, and a lot of sounding like I'm lying my ass off. Only bringing this up because someone asked, and I'm being honest. So, some "highlights" of why my time was Phil was a blip on my radar:

My life has not been particularly happy for most of it. At 14, I was beaten against a wall until I lost consciousness. At 16, I was thrown out, had a breakdown, and was institutionalized for an extended period. At 18, another resident of the halfway house I was in while I finished high school held me prisoner for a week, repeatedly violated me, and then shot me before I beat him unconscious in my escape attempt. At 19, my freshman college roommate tried to sacrifice me to Satan. At 20, my mother refused to take me to my grandfather's funeral so the family wouldn't find out I was homeless. [For almost a decade, I had a relatively peaceful patch before returning to school and ultimately getting two degrees, both with accolades] Hit college, met Phil. Four years ago, left an abusive relationship where my partner was diagnosed with DID, and one of his parts was his internalized homophobia, which had figured out how to trigger my seizure disorder, and used it to win arguments and otherwise punish me. Two years ago, a man broke into my apartment at 2 AM to attack me, mistakenly thinking I had changed his locks at the request of our mutual landlord. (He was so drunk, he'd forgotten how keys worked). I had to fight him off with a knife. The cops found him bleeding and refused to listen to me about how he'd smashed in two doors to get at me; I was arrested for assault as the "aggressor."

Currently, I'm on SSI myself for PTSD (wonder why!) and my own recent autism diagnosis, but I supplement it by serving as a life coach, security, personal chef, and general housekeeper for a pair of (straight) friends I made while pursuing my second degree. I periodically attend conventions serving as a demo guy for various gaming companies, I'm working on a novel (60,000 words, nearing the point where I'm ready to submit it), and I've just gotten a financial investor interested in helping me put together a kickstarter for a card game I've been developing, so things are looking up! (So please, no sympathy, no pity, and no accusations. I'm sharing all this because someone asked, not because I'm trying to elicit asspats. I'm a survivor.)

Phew! Caught up!

Holy fuck, Dusty, you poor thing! It's amazing and terrible that Phil tries to make himself out to be the victim here when you've been through some shit. :heart-empty:

As for questions, how much do you know about his cosplay hobby/group? Did he ever talk to you about it?

@Phil's Favorite Footlong

Where do you think Phil's rape allegations come from? He seems to make them whenever he feels like it. Is it just another one of his calls for attention?

And did he ever accuse anyone while you were around?

Thanks for coming to the Farms and sharing all the info on Phil and beyond. I am wondering though, with your knowledge of Phil irl would you say he lacks empathy for others or are his recent Facebook threats and doxings just him lashing out?

Unrelated to Phil, can you answer if the Cryx are a good starter army for Warmachines?

Edit for typos

Any place we can keep updated on your book/kickstarter? Would like to support endeavours if possible.

And yes totally off-topic. But damn that life story hit me right in the feels.

Dusty,

Did you notice any tendency for Phil to hang out with people much younger than himself (e.g. with pre-teens or early teens)?

How computer-proficient do you consider Phil be, considering he took some kind of computer-related major?

Did he have a tendency to spend money on unimportant things while complaining to others how he was broke?

Can you describe the Anime Club? About how many people were there? How often were the gatherings? What type of animes were most often shown (unremarkable types such as adventure and mecha, v.s edge-lord shit like Death Notes, v.s. sexually-charged shit like yaoi or fan-service shit)? Was Phil ever assigned any type of responsibilities, and how well did he fullfill them?

This is an incredibly minor and silly question, but is Dusty a nickname for an IRL name, a reference to something, or just a word you liked for a name? Because between the badassery and the reference to being raised on '80s media, I'm picturing you as that GI Joe desert specialist guy, and it's weirding me out. Please tell me this isn't all part of some deep cover operation involving Phil being the alter-identity of Cobra Commander.

I got a few myself:

Was Phil the type of fella that sperged about guns when you knew him? I'm curious since he kind of sperged regularly about them as of late and he liked to autistically go into his magical realm's hardware when given half a chance.

Did he fluctuate weight wise when you knew him? Mostly curious if this was during his "Sasuke Diet" gimmick or after the whole booted from college thing.

Between Slaanesh and Nurgle, which of the the two would win the fight in rejecting Phil? Like which one would fight the hardest to not claim him as one of his own?

This might be too personal, but can we see what you look like?

Trying to get a picture to work here. If anyone wants to privately contact me with assistance on how to do so, that would be helpful.

1. Did you have classes with ADF? How was he as a student? Was he disruptive at all?

2. IIRC @Weeping With Pity shared a story of a dinner that ADF showed up to and ruined with his excessive faggotry out of jealousy with your then significant other. Can you give us your own version of it?

I was in business administration, so there wasn't a whole lot of curriculum overlap. We didn't discuss classes.

As for the dinner... considering that my then significant other was also male, could we maybe not use the word "faggotry" please? Anyway, it's not a thrill-a-minute action ride, but... I was in a long distance relationship and he was coming to visit for Thanksgiving. The radio club president and I had gotten the idea to hold an interclub Thanksgiving dinner as well. So I'd been up since 5 AM prepping a turkey, caramelizing yams, the usual, as well as dealing with a rental car snafu that meant I wasn't getting one for the weekend and then not being able to find the terminal my SO came in on, which turned out to be on a whole different road than the airport. That's what I was dealing with going into the dinner.

Even with all of that irritation, Phil didn't really do anything that upset me that day. I warned the SO about Phil and his clingy nature, and so it wasn't quite so big a deal as you might think. Phil wasn't confrontational, just extra-clingy and determined to be appreciated. At one point, the SO started playing along, and they had what I can only describe as a "sub-off," playfully competing to be the first to do whatever I said. It was a bit surreal, but nobody got aggressive.

And before someone asks, the distance thing eventually got to be too much, Phil had nothing to do with that relationship ending.

As for questions, how much do you know about his cosplay hobby/group? Did he ever talk to you about it?

I don't think he was part of a group while I was at school with him; he was only just getting started in cosplay toward the end of our acquaintance. If it was an online thing, that might have started earlier, but we ran in very different circles online.

And did he ever accuse anyone while you were around?

To the best of my knowledge, Phil has never accused me of rape, or any form of sexual assault. He never said anything to me about being a victim when we were in school, and I can only guess wildly at where he might have gotten the idea to make these claims.

I think Phil tries to be a caring individual, but his pride sometimes gets in the way of that by making him deny his mental health issues, and refusing to admit that he might be wrong when he acts under the influence of his condition.

At this point, the new edition of Warmachine comes out in a month, and I'd wait until then if you're about to start playing. Cryx is a nuanced faction that relies on stacking debuffs and sacrificing cheap hordes of cannon fodder, which is great once you learn it but has a bit of a learning curve as you figure out how the pieces fit together. That may change with the rebalancing, though.

Info on the book, a slightly outdated sample chapter (I am very much in the turd-polishing phase of the draft), and a working title I'm not thrilled with can be found at https://www.inkshares.com/books/princess-at-large

The card game, a tongue-in-cheek struggle between a sewing circle of old ladies vs the zombie apocalypse, is called Knit of the Living Dead. I don't have a website for it yet, but I do have a domain name reserved at www.adultfears.com and we can expect me to find excuses to drop the kickstarter into any conversation I find myself in once it launches.

That said, I would like my work to stand on my own merit, and have support because of the quality of the material, and not just because I've had to deal with some unpleasantness in my time.

We were never around pre- or early teens, so it's hard for me to say, but he never talked about a desire for it.
I would estimate Phil's computer proficiency to be at the "competent layman" level. I would say he might surprise me by having hidden depths of technical savvy, but I think he would have bragged about them at some point before now.
Phil was the anime club president, which came with responsibilities that were mostly handled by Corrine. Attendance varied, ranging from maybe 5 people on a slow week to upwards of 20. There was a rotation of who picked the anime; it was usually adventure or slice of life; the only two shows I can definitely remember someone picking were Chrono Crusade and Fruits Basket. I've heard other people say Phil tried to show some yaoi, but I wasn't there for it, so this could just be rumor.

Has he ever involved you in his "Naruto Dobe" and Hispanic fantasies?

I was the Orochimaru to his Sasuke, which apparently involves doing anatomically improbable things with my tongue (didn't watch the show, I just know the name Orochimaru has something to do with snakes, and I've read the erotic friend fiction Phil wrote of me). To blanket statement this, Phil never tried to misrepresent anyone else's ethnic heritage, including mine.

Just about everyone but my family and the government call me Dusty. It is short for Dustin, which was my "work name" when I was employed in a couple of bars, so that work wouldn't follow me home. When I moved on from that part of my life, I decided I liked answering to "Dusty" and it didn't have the baggage associate with what happened to me before that, so it's a bit of a nickname, a bit of a coping mechanism, and a bit because I just like the name.

Phil never expressed an interest in firearms to me. I am not sure where the fixation came from, or when it started.
Phil's weight was rather constant for the year or so that I knew him. I have not heard of the "Sasuke diet" so I'm guessing that came after we parted company.
Phil would wind up affiliated with whoever it most benefited Tzeentch's plans for him to be claimed by.

I thank you for answering all my questions. On the Orochimaru thing: That is on the disturbing side.

Thanks for the answers on those three; I was wondering if and how much what he talked online bled into his life in college. And why do I get the idea that Tzeentch would draw out that fight to not gain Phil as a follower as much as possible?

Speaking of questions, how often did Phil spam his horrible erotic fanfiction at you?

Why did you gut a man like a salmon while staring him in the eyes?
