I feel Talk To Staff is a bit too stuffy for some people feeling comfortable asking small or simple questions to moderators, and I also believe there could be some more levity between staff and users.

Try to avoid using this to interrogate about moderation decisions, like "Why was I banned?" since that's something that genuinely should be handled in Talk To Staff. Threads posted there will be treated with more urgency and seriousness. Generally.

Use this thread to ask us questions, serious or not, and we'll answer them accordingly to whimsy.

What's your favorite thread/least favorite thread.

I like the picture threads. As for least favorite, I really don't care for the gender war nonsense. It's like trying to manage a kindergarten with people who should know better than to have a temper worse than a toddler.

Is it possible to find which user has had their username changed the most? I just thought of this and I'm curious who it would be.

I don't think any stat is kept anywhere. Maybe Null knows.

I would say people assuming there's some kind of consensus. I've been approached a few times accused of moving or deleting posts just because some other moderator did it.

I can't see banned users without the strike through, either, I believe. I need to go onto their profile and see their warnings to tell if they're banned. I'd assume the restrictions exist to make it harder to decipher how the system works or something.

I've been thinking of making a thread in A&H somewhere where I just write Substack-like detailed opinion pieces/analysis on news and happenings except it's on the funny lolcow forum instead of somewhere actually respectable.
