I’m glad we have a strong female protagonist. They’re underrepresented in a industry dominated by misogynistic white men so I’m thrilled females finally get the spotlight that they deserve.

I would have expected some marketing pretending this is the first time something something all female protagonist heroes something something never seen before on screen something you must go and watch it.

You know, like Ghostbitches 2016 pretended it's the first movie centred around women.

Seriously, Hollywood really loves that line of marketing and people so far have lapped it all up. Based on that strategy, you'd think every movie before the one that is being advertised was actually just white men in drag, blackface and so on.
