Why does this even need a remaster? Just unfuck whatever dumbass reason it doesn't work on a modern OS. But I guess that wouldn't mean that Ubi would have to throw tens of millions in the furnace, instead of just a couple.

In case you didn't notice, Ubisoft is broke. The easiest payday ever for them, the samurai AssCreed, tanked so now they have to go with plan B and release a remaster of an AssCreed everyone liked...and it looks like they will fail again. What's next, I think AssCreed 2 was already remastered and they don't make games from any other IP anymore, unless you count Far Cry. What are they going to do, remaster Far Cry 3 or 5 now? Desperate enough to remaster Far Cry 2?
 
They will show the game tomorrow (Thursday).
It's weird that Ubisoft would come back to this game.

I probably would have been excited about an AC4 remaster/remake and pre-ordered if it were 7 years ago. After watching the series turn into discount Skyrim with a heaping helping of genderslop included in every purchase, I might pick this version up for $15 on a Steam sale a year and a half from now.
 
They have done the basic stuff like better lighting and models. They have not changed the gameplay.
They outsourced it to their Singapore studio, lmao.
 
I’m glad they didn’t change the combat and just tweaked the original style to make it more fluid. Original rumours said it would have the RPG era combat which killed my excitement. Sad state of the industry when a remake of a 13 year old game is going to probably wind up on a lot of people’s GOTY lists.
 
BF is unironically in my top 5 most played games I fucking adore that game. Idk how to feel about the remake I'm glad that they removed the trailing bullshit and the annoying future story but I just don't think that it needed a remake I played it last probably sometime last year and it didn't feel that dated.

They actually did. The parrying and attacking animations along with enemy reactions to getting hit are very noticeably less smoother now along with the introduction of sparks/flashes to indicate collision for some fucking reason. I have no idea why the fuck they even touched the melee combat because it's not like they added anything new to it. It's still the same fucking song and dance of "parry then counter-kill then chain kill another half a dozen enemies from there".

Why Ubishit? Why are you faggots so obsessed with making the combat more janky and less cinematic? It's not like you're improving it, you're just removing the only thing that made it kind of fun to watch.

Odyssey is probably the most visually beautiful of the series. Sailing around is relaxing in auto. Kassandra is fun. She takes no shit from people but she's also not 'lewk at mii ah iz strang n powaful wamen bc boobies' she just loves her family.

The problem is that it is too big.

I do feel like I'm the only one who loved Syndicate. Anyway in regards to BF, I hope Matt Ryan is back.

I think it's also the best out of the three RPG ones and Kassandra is fine. Only thing annoying was how Ubisoft caved to twitter freaks and retroactively changed something about her story.
 
I hate myself for it but I'll probably end up getting Resynced if they manage to not make it too retarded with RPG combat gimmicks. AC4 was one of my favorite games in the series and it's just a fun game to fuck around in. I'll end up waiting until it drops to see how much got changed with regards to mechanics but this looks better than any ubislop game since AC Unity

I replayed it a while ago, and I came away with a more negative view compared to the first time I played it. It is still decent, and I am a sucker for Egypt and just roaming around is fun, but it has to many flaws, and I am still a bit salty that we didn't get a New Kingdom game but one at the end of the Ptolemaic reign.
