Assassin's Creed thread

Ubisoft is most definitely including the people with Ubisoft+ in the figures, as well as people playing through GeForce Now. The question is how many people are actually utilizing those services?
I'm still having a hard time believing 1 million people have already played the game. Steam's showing around 50k concurrent, and let's go ahead and be nice and say they got 200k throughout the day, and I just don't see the console players making up another 800k sales here. The console market is not nearly as big as it used to be, and Steam sales vs console sales seems to be pretty stable nowadays for multi-platforms.

I don't believe that Assassin's Creed sold 75% of Veilguard on Steam, while somehow beating the million-player mark on launch day. I'm going to assume they're factoring in physical sales to vendors.

There is no way these are real numbers. They must include some numbers fuckery, like rentals(is the game on Game Pass or whatever Ubisoft has?) or just counting every person who owns these services("They can TECHNICALLY play it at any time, so they are already our customers!")
Most likely it's bots, buying keys or copies in large amounts in regions where the games are cheaper to pad out the numbers.

Counting players instead of counting sales can also include multiple family members playing on a console with multiple accounts. 2 brothers sharing a playstation or xbox with their own logins for PSN or XBL can buy 1 copy of the game and count as 2 unique users.

-blacks won't like it cus the black guy is gay
Wait, I thought the gimmick of Assassin's Creed was to enable one's descendants to use a memory McGuffin to replay key moments of an ancestor's life.
Clearly gays had sex with women to keep up appearances, but I doubt Ubi is going to go for that.

You can't be on the DL, it's not really current year. You gotta be proud nigga! ✊🏿🏳️‍🌈✊🏿

I think the implication is that Yasuke is gay but he BLACKED the empress and you're playing as their blasian ancestor.

Be fun to see how much Ubisoft wasted on bot farming shit on social media to try to boost this game all for it to completely flop.
It can't be much if their twitter account had to resort to some random wojaks to promote the game
I am more concerned with their other games being botted, which is probably where the money went

Wait, so are you saying Ubi is doing this as revenge for Fate/Stay Night or something?

The difference between this and fate is that Fate can actually be fun… oh and it never claimed to be historically accurate.

Even with the random genderbending it is still more respectful too.

So you're telling me corporate looked at all the bullshit starring their chosen main character and were totally ok with that? Not to mention all the other odd stuff they inserted that is questionable at best. The one thing that the business leads wanted was a male lead? The rest they found excusable, that's crazy.
Pretty sure they had some of the bosses of Ubisoft yeeted from the company for alleged harassment, so now they're not there to keep the retards from going full retard.
Steam allows access to players numbers, Ubisoft does not show shit on their UbiConnect platform.
They can pretty much tell you whatever they want and especially talk about how great the reviews are.

But any non-retard knows that only people who own the game (or got a press copy) can leave reviews, which means all the gamers who categorically refuse to buy the game get no say.
The worst reviews happen for games that sell out the players or straight up lied about its content, and players make their unhappiness known in the reviews. If players already know the game will be garbage, they will not buy it, meaning games that will suck and gamers already know will suck, will have better reviews than they deserve.

When the investors get their information they cannot lie about the financial viability of the product and it will be total garbage.
In the past year, Steam has allowed devs to delete reviews they believe are reviewbombing. So now a lot of negative reviews get deleted and you may also find a bunch of Steam reviews are shitting on a game yet give a positive rating so they can't be deleted.

50/50 split for botting on the games and social media

Are you telling me the woke mob harassed out people with fake harassment charges, the same faggots who are now threatening negative reviewers with "legal teams to defend developers from harassment"?

Sounds a lot like the typical leftist playbook these days. DARVO all day every day.

I'd be very interested to see the stats as to what % of the players actually play until they get to play Yasuke.

Tyler1 did a sponsored stream to try it out and was all jacked on Yasuke and excited he could play him. Then, after a few hours of the Japanese chick he was done. Completely done.

How long does it take to get Yasuke back in the game for an average player?

Jesus WHAT? I remember Mighty No 9 had four-hour-long credits but that makes more sense as it was crowdfunded. I don't think any AAA studio game has had creds this long.

I'm curious about these singleplayer battlepasses. Are they actually in the game, and what the hell do they offer?
