I've been working under the assumption, since they honored that random tencent dude at the VGAs who pumps random employees into major western game companies, that all this woke stuff in games is basically to kill any competition the Chinese might have for an eventual video game industry take over and allow them to effortlessly schlorp up long standing franchises for some free legs.
