Assassin's Creed thread

They already admitted that half the dev team has never made a game before
Looking at Avowed.
I believe this is honestly a true statement.
Most of these games just feel like they're mimicking other games with no understanding of them.

I like the memes and the discussion, but should I get the game for humor?
There's nothing in it large vast nothing.

Wait for them to go bankrupt then buy it.

>Really enjoying
>Return to form

Why it's always those two buzzwords?

This guy and Newblood guy always put out posts like these for shitty games.
My only guess is it is some kind of in crowd nepotism.
They have friends that work at these places and are putting in a minimal effort to support them.
"Don't know if I'll finish it!! But its fun."
Yeah so fun you can put it down.

Didn't they say that Avowed got to 7.5 million players? Still managed to crash. Unless this manages to make 7 million sales, Ubisoft better prep their assholes for Tencent.

1 million in reality is a quarter of that in actual sales. Those numbers they keep pulling up mean nothing.
BTW I still say there is LESS than 60k sales of this game since Ubisoft has been doing some weird botting of their numbers recently for all their games.

I looked at the site for that one tranny who usually cracks Denuvo. He has no interest in cracking this, but he plans on cracking Yasuke Simulator.
All Fitgirl does is repack - taking loose files and compressing them and putting them into an installer. Those credits in the descriptions of his uploads like Kaos or whoever are the people who did the real lifting, but these days that's largely just running a game’s files through Goldberg to anonymize a Steam release.

Current Denuvo isn’t cracked; the only person who could reliably do it was Empress, Sergey something-or-other, a Hungarian who had access to internal Denuvo tools back when they were outsourcing their development. He got arrested for it, served a few years and went back to work with what he had but in the time he had been in Denuvo updated their hashing and made it much more difficult to crack. Between his tranny spergouts, the increasingly complicated software updates and the death of Denuvo’s perpetual license there’s no blood going into cracking. The “exceptions” are things like Atomic Heart and Dragon’s Dogma 2, which are based on DRM-free preview builds that leaked.

A company like Obsidian will be fine if only for Microsoft's money pit, plus they've talked a lot over the last few years about spreading their workforce out over more smaller projects with faster turn around and lower sales targets. Grounded, Outer Worlds, Pentinence, PoE2 and Avowed are all recent releases of theirs with that in mind, and while the results aren't great it's a substantially healthier business model than the 400+ million, 8 year deathcycle Shadows is the result of.

We live in a world of outed USAID bucks and Larry Fink shekel gibs specifically for (((political))) agendas. I don't believe, nor do I have any duty to believe, the probable lies of a floundering frog media company desperate to keep their stonks up.

"You don't eat the slop shit out of Ubisofts ass without question? Clearly yallz dun even play dem bideo gaymes. Yallz ain't TROO gaymas like me."

Also lmao at accusing people who say Yasuke wasn't a samurai of "historical revisionism" when literally the first two big controversies around this game were
1) Wikipedia straight up rewriting Yasukes article to say he was a samurai despite no historical proof
and
2) Thomas Lockley, the guy who popularized the entire idea of Yasuke being a legendary samurai to begin with, having his entire career destroyed and his credentials revoked after all the attention this game got exposed him as a scam artist that just made everything up about Yasuke for book sales.

Am I misremembering or in Assassin's Creed 1-3 could enemies follow you up onto buildings?

It seems like in Shadows enemies have zero answers for you climbing a building, if you do so they just stand around looking confused and shouting their combat lines.

most of them don't even have answers for you going prone. they just ineffectually stab the air above you.

I'm enjoying the loop so far. Combat and stealth difficulty on high, but I allow myself to have one-hit assassinations active. I'm sure the balance is totally fucked later regardless.
Nothing against you, but why should there be an option for "one-hit assassinations" in ASSASSIN'S CREED? Let's force enemy leveling into a game where you're trained to swiftly and stealthy kill targets.

IIRC, Fitgirl only does repacks and it's EMPRESS that does all the cracks because he's the only one that knows how and leaking it out info can turn into a liability.
I could be wrong on this, though. It's been a minute.

I want to say no for one.. I'm not willing to go back and check but I recall going on buildings as a get out of jail free card...

I vaguely recall guards spawning on certain roof tops if the alarm was raised but they could barely navigate them.

Enemies could follow you onto rooftops in 1, it's just that climbing was a lot less on-rails so it took longer for the NPCs to get there and you could be long gone just by mastering wall ejects.

ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS, UBISOFT?!

This game set in ancient Japan in a series once lauded for its parkour has fucking yellow paint ledges?!
Why are you surprised? Ubisoft has been treating their players like retarded children that need to be told literally everything for so long that it's been a meme for over a decade.

I remember in the Ezio trilogy most enemies could climb buildings to try and catch you they were just shit at doing so, but there was one "agile" enemy type that was as fast at parkouring as Ezio.
