How will Eren be stopped?

The leaks, the reactions, the double rounds of fans losing their minds due to having split fanbases with the manga and anime, reddit banning tons of users and some various forums, talks of the animators having mental collapses over the ending, the rushed epilogue that came out of nowhere, multiple fan remakes and outright rejection of the canon ending. It was glorious.

I guess this thread was just the tip of the iceberg.

Theory: It wasn't Sasha's death that made the editor puke, and cry in the bathroom. It was the stress of being Isayama's editor. Sasha's death was just the last straw.

Just imagine being Isayama's tardwrangler for nearly a decade, that shit must have been physically and psychologically taxing.

Didn't one of his editors murder his wife?
Yes.

Furthermore, at least two other people tied to this series have died under, well, let's just say when you take everything else into account, rather eerie, and tragic circumstances.

One being the acrobatic supervisor who plummeted to his death while testing the 3DMG gear for the 2017 cancelled stage play, and the other being the actor who played Eren in the live action movies who sadly took his own life in 2020.

I'm not saying these deaths are Isayama's fault, or that AoT itself is cursed, but I am saying that both he, and his series do have a lot of unsettling outside baggage attached to them that most other creators, and series don't.

Maybe the series is just so retarded that they realized it halfway and how much of their precious time, blood and sweat they wasted into this Japanese world War 2 payback fantasy that they all repress.

Can't wait for the final episode to air and big anime youtubers to have videos like "AOT ending is just beautiful/changed my life" with 15 minutes explaining Voltare/Nietzsche/Schopenhauer and how Eren is a phlosophical character while having some Chopin/Debussy/Satie piano music in the background. .
They will gobble it up like they gobbled the last evangelion movie.

i stopped reading the manga when they get to eren's childhood home and discover they're actually an oppressed class of people because it had already gotten too pants on head retarded for me by then. i reckon it's been almost 10 years since i last attempted to get into it and it seems the series is done now. is it worth even going back to and finishing?

??? The last Evangelion movie was pretty divisive in the West, the general reception is probably close to 50-50 if not trending negative. Moreso now after the initial hype has worn off, but even on release there were plenty of fans pointing out the questionable writing choices and the Marvel-tier action scenes.

The fact that writers are trying desperately to make us care about a shit character like Eren is retarded

From what I saw the majority of big 1m plus channels praised it.

Eh, considering that was the last real thing before the timeskip, that and the ocean scenes, I'd say you dropped off at a decent point.

I'll forever say that this was the point where the series should have either ended, or Isayama should have caled the rest AOT Shippuden or something.
Honestly I feel things would've been better if Isayama had a break to outline the rest of the story, since he immediately started the timeskip after the ocean chapters.

Decent character? The moment you nail down his actions, mannerisms and dialog, you'd be forgiven to assume that he suffers from some kind of spectrum disorder.
Well Eren started out to be a tolerable outcast character with decent writing, but I assume the writers were hit by a bunch of bricks and all of a sudden had turned him into an absolute shitheep
