I just found this thread, and after reading the OP, all I can say is; Jesus Christ, this is an infinitely worse shitshow that I could've expected it to become.
I won't lie, I believe it certainly had potential, but between how high off it's own farts the fanbase (and the author) was becoming and expecting the author to just devolve into kicking the can down the street, I didn't even finish the first episode.
The whole thing being over some brat letting out pigs and the 99.9% chance this end up with a cringy time loop bs... wow

I'll never stop being amused, amazed, and utterly baffled by how AoT has literally turned itself into an AU fanfic. Like, I'm looking at old memes, parodies, and fanart, and they've aged so poorly it's like they're not even from the same series. I keep getting YouTube recommendations for videos gushing about how "genius" this series is, and every one of them just makes me wanna blow my brains out.

Well, I have no idea how they're gonna cram all this shit into one season without making it super long, cutting out a fuckton of stuff, or making their own ending, and considering the manga still hasn't ended, I think they're gonna have to do the latter.

They're a bit of a meme on /a/. But they have their moments, Dororo and Banana Fish both got some derision for how bad it got. And Yuri on Ice ended up airing a few of its episodes unfinished due to its struggling production.

You know, I would've been disappointed about this, but since this series has turned into a dumpsterfire, I'm actually glad. Hopefully, people who only watched the anime finally get to see what AoT is really like when you strip away the anime's top-notch animation.

mappa did a good job on ushio and tora but I only ever saw the blu ray rips. for all I know the tv broadcast version looked like this

all the good animation is hidden in brief split second cuts. the fights don't look bad honestly, I was expecting more cgi. I still prefer the linework wit does though. this is like a thinner version of the current manga style. It's a minor gripe though. I'm glad they chose to animate the titans properly and not just do cgi. if the attack on liberio is as good as ushio and tora's best fights I'll be satisfied. that's the main thing I wanna see here.
