With fans like these, he can fuck with them as much as he wants, honestly.

Ironically enough, Kishimoto said something similar in regards to romance between characters, in that he’s just bad at it so he didn’t write it much. I think his main contribution to the romance of Naruto: The Last was Hinata making a scarf for Naruto, because that’s what his wife did for him back when they were dating.

I know it's kind of silly to get into those "the author wanted to the manga with this arc" arguments but I think with Naruto it was pretty clear that the Naruto/pain and Sasuke/Itachi fights were meant to be the lead up to the finale. Instead we got a whole of fucking around ending with a world war and aliens that no one really cared about.

I think you could probably watch up to and including season 3. Although it becomes pretty clear after season 1 that the author wanted to change things up, so by season 3 you have a quasi-spy drama with 3D manoeuvring guns fights in saloons... I seem to remember that being a cool scene though.
Sadly this trend of shacking things up went on into season 4 where we now have a story about the evils of war with undeniable WW2 analogies and what for all practical purposes is a brand new cast who just so happen to have a names and likeness of the previous characters. So maybe skip out on season 4.

Well, the thing I always say is that AOT went off the rails when it came from the fallout of the basement reveal, like how it got to people idolizing Eren and Requiem. Honestly, Season 3 seemed like it could have worked if you built up the part of trying to stop the Survey Corps from reaching the basement and placing Historia on the throne to rule the people behind the walls. If you built that up to where it meant something, you could have something interesting.

For the record, I don't have a problem with AoT Requiem, or with people making their own ending in general. I mean, it's absolute cope, and AoT Requiem is all, but guaranteed to fail due to infighting, or because someone in the production team turns out to be a sexpest, or whatever, but I'm not against the idea of people creating their own ending.

You know why?

Because it's never going to be canon.

It happened. It was written, storyboarded, inked, illustrated, edited, printed, and published. It happened.

It happened, and no amount of crying, coping, raging, or fanfiction is going to change that.

In the end, this is the Eren we got, and it's going to be the Eren we'll always have.

You know, unless Isayama decides to turn him into something else like a litterbox, or something.

Whichever.

Doubt this is real. IIRC, didn’t earlier volumes have weird promos for stuff involnving the characters?
