While I was semi-shitposting about the ugly thing, it is a fact that some people generate a nearly visceral sense of disgust just upon seeing them, and this often unconsciously influences decision-makers, even those who strive to be impartial. This guy's appearance is fucking horrifying, and when he's absolutely, utterly guilty of a premeditated rape attempt, thinking about the horror of someone nearly raped by this vile fiend is pretty much unavoidable.

Look what happened to Fatty Arbuckle, whose career was totally ruined by what was almost certainly a false rape accusation of which he was acquitted, eventually. Just the fact that he was fat and accused of rape ruined him. They tried him three fucking times. After the third time, the jury not only acquitted him but did something juries almost never do, outright apologized to him for the trial even occurring and declared him flat out innocent. It didn't save his career, though.

That's a very good point about attractiveness bias that I didn't consider. It's a far more horrifying thought to be raped by a guy that looks like he stepped straight out of a The Hills Have Eyes-esque horror film than someone attractive, like say @Ride (who I will be leaving my window unlocked for just in case :tomgirl:)
