Not really, I was expecting a lot more transphobia, I’m a real man, etc… type rhetoric from her. It might be there but we only got a three page excerpt.
We all got focused on the FTM aspect but maybe that was incidental to her identity. Sounds like she would have much preferred to be black more than anything else. The troon shit only seemed to be a relatively recent thing. One way to distance herself from being an evil privleged white girl. She either hated herself, or felt rejected from the rich white girl club, or both probably.
The article I posted yesterday says that her transition was recent, or at least, she was just starting to use male pronouns.
I dunno the chronology, but I wonder if she started the transition because she had a crush on that girl who died and she thought that was a way to approach her. She dying might have collapsed her sanity as she realised she trooned up for nothing.
Onset for mental illness during teen or early adulthood is pretty common. I wonder if Jr High was the last period she had before her brain broke. She certainly was fixated on childhood era shit. She had a room full of plushies ffs.
Being an adult and having plushies ain't that rare, but her specific problem is a problem common among current progressives: they're childish. Look, here in LatAm, it's very common to see adult men who are hard fans of anime, and yet they act as adults. That's not with progressives: they like toys and media for kids because they are mentally kids.
From my perspective, feminism is weird because if you’re a female, OF COURSE you’re supposed to think of yourself as generally competent and extend that to other women. But making an ideology out of it is more of a manifestation of severe insecurity, and finding groups that play into your insecurity is a ticket to mental illness.
It's meant to pander to the collective nature of women, despite women hate each other, which makes this ideology a weird thing. A man would never earn a trophy and say he won it in name of all men, but rather his country, team, or family. Feminists expect every triumph of a woman is a triumph for all women and some women actually think their triumph is a collective female victory. It's a very convenient belief for average mediocre women because I have to do nothing but wait that some Jane Smith wins some medal and that means I am also a winner.
Hale felt more comfortable with black girls, it seems, but if other girls from her school didn't like her, then that's a contradiction of any feminist belief she could have had: women are supposed to stick for each other. A better adjusted women would know that she only needs her own group to thrive, not the friendship of all women collectively.
