hell yeah, same here, it is fun to do that, the ways humans tick is fascinating, for better or for worse haha
Oh for sure. Maybe its just ironic humor too that some of the people I deal with could actually survive in the real world, but are in a facility, while some of the cows are free to roam about the fields as they please.

For sure, considering what he’s working with, I’m amazed he hasn’t tapped out. And I have to assume he has some level of morality, so it’s not just about getting his client sprung with a “good luck, ease up on all that raping buddy”. He’s probably trying to find a solution where Chris doesn’t end up shitting in a storm drain or wearing dead barbs tits for earmuffs, but also not doing max prison time with da niggos.
This isn't just doing the bare minimum, though. He somehow blew off a grand jury. That shit doesn't happen.

Goddamn Chris, this absolutely worthless bastard, having some fucking lawful good paladin piece of shit on his side.

It’s sad and hilarious that Chris, who we all know is %100 guilty and unrepentant about it and absolutely deserves the max sentence, lucks out and gets the kind of legal council you’d hope every innocent defendant would get to fight for them.

And you know Chris doesn’t even appreciate it in the least. He’s probably still pissed that Heilberg didn’t go and collect up his new hotel toys for him.

oh no, i feel ya, because while i used to work in adult social services, i was never blind or jaded to the free-roaming ones haha, i still saw plenty of people out n about that im like : okay why is that person not in one of our homes or at least a day program?' , because this fool obviously either got away from his / or her keeper, or desperately needs one !' XD

Big ups on getting it sealed simply to keep the public out. Yeah, deprives us of knowing the full story but at the same time, it gives Chris the judgement he deserves. In a locked room where his only allies are his appointed legal team that's trying to keep his ass out of prison (which to Chris obviously does not translate to 'best interests' since Chris remains convinced he should be allowed to walk free an innocent man).

Given this is something he's doing pro-bono for the required 'donated hours' thing that got explained months back (since no fucking way Chris could afford a lawyer of this caliber), it may ultimately be in his best interest to see the case through to the end.

Yes, it's a grave error of impunity to let Chris walk, yes, it'll be letting a probable rapist off the hook, but it will also be very funny to see the reactions of everyone who thought that this would be the end of Chris. And remember, we don't come to Kiwifarms to see justice, we come here for the funny. Getting mad at Chris is a waste of time and effort, he's not worth your blood pressure.
Stinky Isabella Janke ruined her life just for Chris to potentially still have his freedom and be more memeworthy than ever. It's cosmic irony. Lighten up fellas, it's funny as fuck.

I just have to say Heil Heilberg. This motherfucker got a continuance on grand jury proceedings? That shit just doesn't happen!
Heilberg is way too good of a lawyer for Chris lmao. How the fuck did Chris get assigned one of the best lawyers in his area as his public defender?

That motherfucker has some insane luck when it comes to shit like this, but he also tends to fuck shit up despite being given the best possible set of circumstances. Typical Chris.

I don't know how effective this will be in finding an impartial jury, people from Ruckersville and even Charlottesville are already all to familiar with Chris. Actually, now that I think about it, it might work in his favor because his neighbors hate both Chris and Barb, so they might not give too much of a shit about what Chris did to Barb. Barb and Chris got a neighbor's cat put down for scratching Chris, both of them are despised by their community.

Although he's correct that there is a lot of misinformation floating around, I'm not sure if the truth will really help Chris either.

He's very clearly trying to get Chris in some sort of supervised care as he correctly assumes that Chris is unable to participate in society like a normal person. Unfortunately, his efforts are probably going to go to waste as Chris is known to fuck up even the most well crafted plans. He had a steady source of income from art commissions, internet fame, convention passes and even an actual willing fuck buddy half his age. All he had to do was not fuck the demented woman twice his age.

I'll message ya later about some stories from the previous facilities I've worked for that I feel comfortable talking about so we don't take over this thread.

This guy isn't even getting paid for this though. He gets not a single extra dime for any of this shit.

It's so obvious it's a truism that if you go before a grand jury, they just return a true bill, you get indicted, and that's it. That's just what happens.

Somehow this bastard just up and tells a grand jury, no, not going to happen today. And makes it stick.

Fuck this fucking guy.

On any of Chris’s court dates, I can just imagine the courthouse phone lines lit up from open until close. And they’re required to answer every call. I can just imagine the clerks telling the judge “we cannot operate like this.”.

And, if it’s Heilberg pushing to have shit sealed to not taint the jury pool against him, well, I read that as there’s potentially some gnarly discoveries in those files.
HA! Good luck with that Greene county, there's not a jury alive in his hick redneckville that won't want to vindicate him for one reason or another. Assuming chris was dumb enough to demand this go to trial by jury unless heilburg means the grand jury.

True, but this could’ve/should’ve ended for him several times over by now if he was just going through the motions. I can’t imagine a non-christorian wanting this disgusting case living in their head any longer than it has to. He’s older, well respected, doesn’t seem to be trying to media bait the case for clout, and dealing with Chris at full god complex. I don’t think any of his peers would think less of him for taking an L on this one.

I might be wrong but I think he's doing it for 2 fold:

1 - Because it's good publicity
2 - If Chris gets away with it (not guilty), he can possibly sue the county as Chris' lawyer and get money out of it.

Apologies but I don't know a lot about this stuff. All these continuances of the process count towards time served, right? (looking here: https://law.lis.virginia.gov/vacode/title53.1/chapter6/section53.1-187/ suggests that's the case, but wanted to check here) Is there a ratio to which time-awaiting-trial counts against the sentence? And is it possible that by the time a sentence is handed down, Chris has effectively already served it, and so essentially walks away with nothing further except being put on the register?

Chris managed to secure one of the best lawyers in his area and the lawyer cares enough about him to pull out all the stops to accomplish the highly improbable by telling a grand jury to pound sand and wait for him to pull out Chris's autism card. If this isn't proof of Chris's divine luck I don't know what is lol.

I have to give props to Heilberg for going above and beyond for his client, but a lawyer of his caliber is really wasted on Chris when I'm sure some other defendant is better deserving of his services. 100% guarantee that if Chris gets away with it thanks to Heilberg's amazing performance, it'll take less than 6 months before Chris starts to shit on Heilberg like the ungrateful bastard he is. He's probably going to blame Heilberg for sending him to Western State or not helping Chris sue Betty Hoover for free or some shit.

Well fuck, when did that happen?
Date of the incident is unknown, email about it was leaked in 2014 https://sonichu.com/cwcki/Catherine_E-mails#Chris_the_Cat-Killer

>decides to continue the Chris saga by suing the county for putting an innocent retarded man in jail unjustly
>Chris now has money for more legos
>bootleg Saul Goodman has money for cocaine and cigars to read Kiwi Farms & watch more Geno with for the next few years
