It’s all a fandom or subculture to them, and they like that stuff the same way Disney Star Wars fans like Baby Yoda merchandise.

In fact, I think these guys are all alike for the same reason Harry Potter fans, teenage weeaboos, and 00’s scene kids all tended to be copies of each other: A big part of the Kevinsphere is fitting in with the other denizens of the Kevinsphere by emulating their likes, dislikes, mannerisms, etc. That means acting like a teenage girl on Tumblr circa 2011, adopting a laundry list of insane fetishes, displaying hypersexuality via Twitter, and becoming a furry if you aren’t one already. It’s like a fandom where instead of being a fan of a particular piece of media, they’re a fan of LARPing this same persona.
