110% true when it comes to movies/shows. I go into a full-on tardrage whenever I try to watch one of my blurays because there's so many unskippable ads/trailers/piracy warnings and navigating the movie/show itself sucks as well when you're eventually allowed to watch it
Pirated copy, I don't have to fiddle with discs, no trailers, no piracy warning, I can use whatever player I want so I can navigate and even just watch the movie at whatever speed I want. There's just no downside
For games I don't have any qualms about buying stuff on Steam. Great service, better than piracy, basically no complaints. If there was a movie/show equivalent I'd be fine buying those too
