Why copy the bethesda formula if you aren't going to implement any of the actual fun parts? I know isometric RPGs don't sell well, but coasting of one game for 12 years is a failing strategy. Of course, Obsidian is a Microsoft-owned company so they probably won't die yet.

I have the oddest feeling GTA 6 is going to be the most inoffensive slop on the market. Its not even that they're gonna go full woke and shit on white people, they're just not going to shit on anyone. The game will be totally toothless and inoffensive. It will say nothing other than relying on "Lol Florida-man" jokes and generic crime drama bullshit.

As a Florida man I look forward to pirating GTA 6 in a few years when the RP servers take over.

$120 price tag? I mean it's a big game, but fuck paying $150 for it. I'm not paying $200 for twerking niggers. You're out of your mind if you think $250 is ok for a game with a latinx protagonist. Let's boycott this $500 game, this is an outrage.

Ignoring the woke shit for a second how is the gameplay, because Outer Worlds is one of the most boring games ever made and after the hype died down everyone just came to the same conclusion.
Did they improve the combat or did they just decide to make a worse Outer Worlds?

It's unbelievably stiff and the screen during combat is waaaaay too busy. The game running like ass only makes it worse.

edit: it's still probably better than Outer Worlds.
 
Saw this pop up on battlenet one day when I was about to play Warcraft and my immediate first thought was that this is miserably trying and failing to be a new Baldurs Gate while having 0 clue about any of the woke shit in it. Glad to know I wasnt wrong.

Im the first person to say people should make whatever art they want, for themselves, but art still needs a purpose. New game devs just make shit without thinking of who might want to play their game specifically, theres millions of RPGs out there so why would anyone go for this? Just because you can make something doesnt mean you should. All this money couldve been invested in something new and actually interesting. It doesnt even fulfill anything for people who want trannies in their games because those people are just playing Veilguard. Just make new innovative shit for once ffs.
