Awful "Epic gamer" PC cases

I found one of these big bastards in the trash. Anyone have one and know if the front lock is some kind of standard kensington one? I didn't find the keys and the front flap is locked :( Otherwise the case is huge with a shitload of HDD slots so I'd like to use it for a home server build or something.

It's probably a cheap tubular lock, you may have luck with a cheap impressioning tool like this. If you don't care about it ever locking again, drills are always effective.

But the problem isn't just with towers it's also with keyboards and mice. I actually had to look for a mechanical keyboard that had no LEDs, and that was easier said than done.
Yeah, I've seen keyboards that on the one hand were nice and clicky, but on the other had super bright rainbow led shit.

If you want a good buckling spring keyboard without trendy gaymer shit there's always Unicomp. Their shit is all made in America too.

i mean you can, and it's not like theyre at a premium for it. in face panels increase their cost

Are you retarded?

that'd be to easy for him

Get fucked, my point is that there are way less options now than before. The odds of you finding a case you like that also has a version without windows is lower than ever.

Pardon me for assuming you’d pick up on that.

The only reason I brought it up is because I had just spent an inordinate amount of time looking for a small form factor case without a fucking window. Every time I found one I liked, guess whatthey didn’t have a windowless version. If I’m building a computer with mismatched older salvaged components, the last thing I fucking want is for everything to be on display.

Keeping with the thread, glass sided cases, as a general rule, look like shit.

Eh, I like some smokey tempered glass. Got rid of that acrylic shit on my 900D and replaced it with a custom piece of glass.

I have not been keeping up with this thread despite making it lol. Why do you think glass cases look like shit again?

1) They either expose your rats' nest of cables and mismatched components, or your gay gaudy LED shit.
2) Hope you fucking like looking at dust and smudges too.

To be fair, tinted glass is better than standard glass, which itself is better than acrylic, but on the whole, transparent cases are a mistake and a ploy by parts manufacturers to upsell people on "cool looking" and matched color components.

Whats the fucking point of these cases in the era of online gaming?

Back when LAN parties were the norm sure, plenty of people customized their cases to show off, but now? hardly anyone does LAN parties anymore and when there is one its all gaming laptops because nobody wants to lug a fucking desktop PC around
So you put it in the corner of your facecam when you stream on twitch.
