I don't know why I didn't think to check for a Hax thread before this. I don't think I can add much else besides this one observation. It's really fucking telling all the TOs and their orbiters who will repeat how they are blameless and it was good for Hax to keep him banned. You know despite the fact the dude is dead now. Not one can even say, "hmm maybe there's some possibility we did something wrong?"

To be more serious for a second, TOs regularly allow the mentally unwell to enter their tournaments (if they didn't, the venue would be empty), and the few bans that they do put out are never truly enforced in a way that guarantees the safety of attendees, as shown by the time Technicals just walked into a venue despite being "banned."

If Hax$ was really gonna harm Leffen, he easily could've walked into a tournament and done it even while banned. Don't give the TOs the benefit of the doubt, they only care about safety insofar as "How little do we have to do before we can absolve ourselves of responsibility?"

I'm a little shocked there isn't one already. It's probably because the worst thing about Leffen is how influential he is, which makes the Smash Bros Community thread essentially a Leffen thread.

Unfortunately, this isn't even uncommon. Many Smash TOs are sex-crazed freaks, who leverage their "clout" in order to force their way into attendees' DMs.

There were a couple non-dyke lesbians who used to attend weeklies in my area. Not great-looking (5/10), but not complete hambeasts so basically an 8/10 in the Smash community. Local TO intentionally didn't announce their first round matchups then blamed them for not paying attention. He never verbally announced our matchup - I was seeded to play the winner of their first round matchup and he wasn't showing the Challonge bracket on the big TV, per usual.

Other player won by DQ, since the girl didn't know to check Challonge or have the tourney link. Same thing mysteriously happened to her girlfriend, same round. Immediately afterwards, the TO offers the girls to follow each other on IG, so he can personally text them where to go in case they're confused. Still never mentioned the Challonge bracket.

Fast-forward a few weeks and the TO is waiving their tourney fees, ranking them as Honorable Mentions in the region power rankings, putting them on stream in favor of ranked players, and delaying matches for them to go get fast food between rounds.

Many people complained, but this fucking faggot TO called all dissenters "misogynists," who aren't welcoming of females in our space. In actuality, it was a "give her space," situation, where dudes were tripping over each other to play friendlies with them. A few months later, TO allegedly invited one of the lesbians over to his place for friendlies and tried to come onto her. She was disgusted, never returned and neither did her friend.

Pretty similar shit happened in our rival region across the state AND in another region a state over. These are the kind of people organizing tournaments, primarily attended by unsociable, naive 16 to 20-year-old autists and they ABSOLUTELY abuse their power to prey on them.

Between that, my ban (for writing "obvious" for my pronouns), and all the pedo garbage happening in the Tr4sh/Ultishite community, a lot of my region quit playing. Locals went from like, 40 attendees to maybe a dozen. Absolutely wild how spineless the community is when it comes to allowing these freaks to impose their mental illness on everybody else. The Smash community gets what it deserves.

I'm going to be honest, these Smash players never grew up. I understand wanting to pursue your passions, but there's a point where you realize you've peaked and you have to move on. I sympathize with Hax, but at the same time, the man should have moved on from a tiny ass community of what I can only gather to be emotionally stunted man babies and sex pests and do something else. Melee is pretty much a declining community that will continue to wither into nothing. Even if Hax had been unbanned, I doubt it would have turned his life around, sticking to a toxic community of assholes.

Can you tell us more? I'm curious if he ever mentioned, or you managed to infer why he was so adamant about returning to the community which treated him like shit for years and years. He was young, barely hit 30, and could have easily found something else to pour his passion into. I get the sunk cost fallacy in this case, but it's weird to me that he never tried to find anything else which could have made him happy.

He was an autistic man who spent his entire life absorbed by this game and its community.
He was one of the best in the world, spending thousands of hours over the course of 20+ years playing the same game over and over and over again to the point of AI levels of execution.
His income, all of his friends, his entire purpose in life was intertwined with this game.
His entire life was stripped from him by jannies and faggots. I'd have a hard time moving on too.

Not enough old guard left who were advocating for the guy or even knew him, all he had for years were retarded zoomers and nu-males who took retarded internet drama and the words of tranny jannies at face value.

Something that really ruffles my jimmies about the current state of e-celeb discourse, ive been really been tired of the general ideas that "X's fanbase is totally planning something IRL guys, im scared for my life" whenever its from someone in a better state or especially a larger viewerbase. Its such a retarded fucking statement and almost never considers (on purpose) that maybe the "victim's" fanbase might rile themselves up in turn and do something, because you already introduced the concept and are just banking on the fact that you're so perfect that you never fostered any schizo for some reason or another, an almost impossible task in this day and age of internet faggotry.

It's funny because I've seen posts here and there on twitter about how his obsession and all that were unhealthy, but yet these people would support speedrunner goblins or someone who also spent 20+ years on the Mario punchy game
This whole community is just a walking L at this point and not even meaning for Luigi
