Bad Cosplay - Thots, weebs, and wannabes

Black Privilege is being able to cosplay Hellsing villains.
I do that, my blonde-haired blue-eyed ass is getting shived.

Depends on if someone recognizes the cosplay or not. Since there used to be whole groups of people cosplaying as the Hellsing villains at cons and no one batted an eye if they knew what they were doing. (Which is why a lot of Schrodinger cosplayers I've seen over the years will have either an armband that has a completely different symbol on it such a smiley face or nothing at all or an accurate one ONLY for photoshoots.)

Unfortunately, I do.
I can safely say that Lardina here barely looks like the characters- hell, I have no idea who one of them is supposed to be.

Joe Tazuna (but I only realized it through process of elimination.)

Kanna Kizuchi, but I thought the cosplay was of some AU of a completely different character until I saw the bucket.

Hinako Mishuku, except it's not Hinako Mishuku in any way except the hair color.

Sara Chidouin, except the hair looks absolutely nothing like hers, and no effort was made to try.

Sou Hiyori? Maybe??? The only similarities are the green hair and the ponytail, so I have absolutely no idea.

TL;DR this is bad cosplay, not only for the reasons you listed, but because they bear absolutely no resemblance to their source characters.
Normally I like belonging to smaller fandoms because less popularity means less crazies, but it also means less talent. She looks more like the sugar rush racers from wreck-it ralph.
Kimi ga kagayaku ain’t even that obscure bitch, step it up.

This is so bad, at first I thought it must be shitty on purpose, like as a joke. But the poster seems to be 100% serious.

And since I know hardly anyone here is autistic enough to enjoy the Five Nights at Freddys games, here's what he was going for.

For context: this character is a child murderer who died in a fursuit and laid undiscovered for 30 years. Now hes a spoopy ghost furry. Why you would want to cosplay this degeneracy is beyond me.

Fnaf cosplayers (if they arent gijinkas) will either have really cool and scarily accurate costumes or... they'll look like this. Theres no inbetween.

Once upon a time in my weeby youth I used to cosplay as one of the minor villains from Hellsing because I already happened to look relatively similar and it was a series where the outfits weren't a huge production to put together (props was another story). I remember there were enough people who dressed from the series that you could have a proper full photoshoot, heroes and villains alike. There was also one Japanese guy who would show up dressed immaculately in full Nazi uniform, who wasn't any particular character but just... dressed like that, I guess, he liked to just randomly join in to people's photos.

It's something I look back on and go 'wow, early 2000s were a different time', because can you imagine? Back then nobody gave a fuck what you did as a dumbass high schooler, nowadays you do something as benign as saying you wanna play the new Harry Potter game or following an artist with the wrong Opinions on Twitter and everyone is jumping over themselves to burn you at the stake.
I feel bad for today's teenagers, man.

Anyways, I know that opinions vary on sexy cosplay depending on if it's being played for laughs or not, but has Sexy Magikarp come up yet?
