It's such a shame it is the nature of the business. The audience is straight males so having less attractive or butterfaces on isn't an option like it is with men (who can be as lumpy as possible since there's more acceptance of a lumpy villain or lumpy underdog), so physically fit women have to modify themselves more to play a character.
