I know this isn't a terrible result (especially compared to some of the really botched pictures in this thread), but I think she looks worse now and it was completely unnecessary. Her old nose looked good and complimented her features perfectly. She had a beautiful and unique look, now she looks like everyone else who keeps getting the Barbie nose despite it throwing off their facial harmony.
I was so distracted by the only real improvement in the after photo (the hair) that I didn't even notice the nose until I read the text.

Remember in Mario 64 start screen when you could stretch his face?

Her before is a fantastic profile. Perfectly balanced and quite elegant.

I'm glad she's thrilled with the result, for all the time she'll spend be able to look at the profile of her own face. 😐

Completely unnecessary vanity surgery.

but I think she looks worse now and it was completely unnecessar
I dont understand why she’d go under the knife. She was a good looking girl, nothing unbalanced, nose isn’t even noticeably big. Now she looks like the whole bottom of her face juts forward and her forehead looks sloping.

The middle east gets a bad rep from these extreme Barbie noses but the truth is you can get natural results that do have the upwards rotated supra beak tip AND that fits your face, you just have to find the right surgeon which is difficult as their marketing practices are all over the place. It is a wild west but you can get some amazing results that are the same quality as what you can get in Beverly Hills for a fraction of the cost, just do thorough research.

I found this thread via the last post column on the home page and it's horrific. Because I do not really watch any TV or see any celebrity stuff unless I see it on the cover of a gossip mag at the grocery store checkout line I had no idea that so many women were getting wrecked. The only recent ones I knew about before combing through here were that actress from the boy, which I have not watched the most recent season of because I heard it sucks more than the last, and Amanda Bynes due to something about her going viral recently. The buccal fat removal thing is wild, I have no idea why these women would do that, especially Sophie Turner because she looks so aged by her procedures.

I propose that

GACKT

be the new word for "fucked up."

I have already heard the word "gacked" used in that context in the past, from a couple of west coast guys. One referring to a car part being trashed and one referring to someone being massively intoxicated.

Believe it or not, there are actually commonly accepted nose shape aesthetics among plastic surgeons. For men, the "ideal" aesthetic is a straight profile with a 90 degree nasolabial angle (angle the tip of your nose makes with your upper lip). For women, it is a "ski slope" profile with an obtuse nasolabial angle (upturned nose), exactly like you see in the "after" picture you posted. I agree that it seems like there was no deformity to begin with, but who "nose" for certain (hue hue hue). The attached excerpt is from "Dallas Rhinoplasty, Nasal Surgery by the Masters, 4th edition".

Another thing these women probably do not check is that their surgeon is board certified with a related medical board (ie. American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS)). Any doctor with a medical license can perform surgery (at least in the US), but that does not mean they are adept at it.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and it is defined differently in almost every culture and civilization. I shudder to think of John Singer Sargent's "Portrait of Madam X" in the current "make me look like this picture of me with my TikTok filters on" era. She would probably seek rhinoplasty to remove the slight bump on her nose, and collagen lip injections to get rid of her thin lips, but I think her side-profile has more poise and beauty with these features.

There is no cure for self-esteem issues based on one's appearance, or perceived appearance. I think social media has ruined women's perspective of themselves. There is no getting rid of it now.

And do not even get me started with the young women getting buccal fat removal surgeries. BUCCAL FAT IS WHAT MAKES YOU LOOK YOUTHFUL, CHERUBIC EVEN! WHY DO YOU WANT TO LOOK LIKE MALEFICENT!?

Whoever encouraged her to do that was not looking out for her best interests.
It's almost as if women shouldn't associate with other women. I mean that as a joke, but jesus christ some women as a group are toxic spills mutating each other in horrible ways. Some people will say "she did it for herself, not for any man", sure, ok, men will still be blamed in 10-20 years when she looks fucked up because we were supposedly really into looks-like-cancer surgery back in the roaring 20's.

This is gonna sound retarded, but is there something about extreme plastic surgery or lip fillers that completely fucks up the pigmentation of people's faces?

I've noticed that in a lot of these post-surgery photos, unless the subject is wearing obviously heavy makeup, they tend to have this realdoll-ish look as if their faces are molded out of a flatly-colored substance, in a way that normal people do not.
