Bad Plastic Surgery - all the pics

I've noticed that in a lot of these post-surgery photos, unless the subject is wearing obviously heavy makeup, they tend to have this realdoll-ish look as if their faces are molded out of a flatly-colored substance, in a way that normal people do not
Isn't that the exfoliation bullshit they all do, constantly sanding off the top layer of skin in the hopes that their raw skin will make them look fresh?

This is gonna sound retarded, but is there something about extreme plastic surgery or lip fillers that completely fucks up the pigmentation of people's faces?

Blood vessels affected maybe?

I imagine some fillers are injected so shallow they actually interfere with the subsurface light scattering of the skin.

ELI5: Skin is translucent and when we look at skin we're seeing under the skin as well and how the light scatters and reflects of all these layers. The fillers interfere and make the skin look fake; like an old 3d animation or a clay figure.

Probably moreso because of strong retinoids than exfoliation. I exfoliated regularly before I started tretinoin, but my skin still looked normal. I only got the super fresh and even tone look shortly after I started tretinoin, haven’t really needed foundation since.

There is no cure for self-esteem issues based on one's appearance, or perceived appearance. I think social media has ruined women's perspective of themselves. There is no getting rid of it now.
The problem with social media is twofold. You compare yourself to people who only show themselves in heavily altered pics, but you also post heavily altered pics of yourself. Instagram filter dysmorphia, or whatever it's called, is a very real thing. I know jack shit about makeup and often forget that the women I compare myself to are usually heavily made up.
And do not even get me started with the young women getting buccal fat removal surgeries. BUCCAL FAT IS WHAT MAKES YOU LOOK YOUTHFUL, CHERUBIC EVEN! WHY DO YOU WANT TO LOOK LIKE MALEFICENT!?

Something I've been wondering is if accidentally biting your cheek is more painful after buccal fat removal. It seems like you'd be removing a layer of protection and doing so could be a lot more painful and a lot bloodier.

they're all fucking anorexic and even the slightest hint of body fat anywhere at any time sends them into self-loathing shame spirals. All modern celebrity women think they need to weigh 65# and have 0.01% body fat.

Some Hollywood studio fucktard (it may have been Weinstein) once called Hayley Atwell a "fat pig." Fuck's sake, she's the hottest woman in the business. So the industry encourages this disorder because they're a bunch of fucking psychopaths, apparently

Yes, yes, everyone in the current era is entirely too self conscious, self criticizing, and excessively vain! And to make these matters even worse, they seek remediation through our era's relatively new, unfounded, and untested elective surgeries.

Everyone knows there is only one single elective procedure which exclusively can solve all these maladies, which has existed since the Neolithic age, and that procedure is...

TREPANNING.

"If you cared about your looks before, you certainly won't now!" (Doctors hate him!)

LOOOL!

For the record, this post is facetious.

Also more bad surgery:

Wow. Cover her face from the eyes down and she looks like a typical 50-something. Cover her face from the top of her nose up and that's a man, baby.

He didn't like his eye surgery results so he got fillers in his lips? Makes sense.

Also more bad surgery:
Donatella Versace was never what you’d call ‘pretty’ type good looking but she was handsome, striking and had really good strong facial features that would have aged very well.
Lady gaga should be looking at this and quaking, let’s put it that way.

Did you see that article in A&N about the 24yo frenchie that got a beard transplant from a realtor in turkey and it was really bad so he ended up killing himself?
I did. What a bizarre story. Head hair isn’t like beard hair. He had a somewhat sparse beard but why not just shave it?
