Hyaluronic acid comes from other sources too, like snail slime and chicken combs, and AIUI there's some processes to ferment vegetable sources of the stuff.

Having a basic ability to dress yourself is considered faggy and unattractive to western women. They're not too keen on decent haircuts either. They don't seem to mind the high prevalence of titties on white males in the USA, though. The overall fatness of NA people makes me also wonder if they just kind of freak out when encountering a normal (non-celebrity/athlete) man who's in good shape and get insecure.

Well, yes. Most skin grafts are from donor corpses too.

But I've seen enough infected corneas in thio broth to know that transplant infection isn't exactly a rare thing. I know most of these wacky plastics are done in third world chop shops, so they aren't exactly reporting infection rates to the Joint Commission, but I'd love to know just how frequently plastic surgery results in infection.

Well people like K-Drama or K-Pop stars have teams of stylists and makeup artists. And the latest branded clothes bought by the company and probably altered as well after the fact. They probably just sit in their jimjams around the house though. I wish I had a stylist team before I left the house

What makes it so much worse is the ubiquity of it, it's not like old school "Hollywood surgery" where it's just porn hos getting the nose/tit job combo or deranged rich people going for the freaky cat face surgery, it's a solid double digit % of everyday wahemnz/a good quantity of maniac men irrevocably fucking up their bodily structure and it is fucking insane.
Why the fuck are 2/3 of certain age groups pumping their faces full of filler to the extent they fail facial recognition cameras socially acceptable now? Shit is crazy. Yeah it's "reversible" but so are most tattoos technically, that shit is gonna scar, literally. But they don't care even though it is "asbestos in the walls" tier for how stupid they look.
This isn't a fashion thing where I just don't like summer dresses because I have no sense of style or something like that, the only people who are into duck lips/dinner-plate bolt on tits/acid attack survivor noses (another thing tragically common thanks to "pay later" style surgeries that even have TV ads now) are people with body dysmorphia but if you say so openly you're derided, shit is crazy.
It's utter lunacy that cosmetic surgery was ever allowed to go this far, it has value for survivors of accidents/correcting true deformities but as soon as I am supreme dictator by divine right I'm editing the Hippocratic Oath to include "no unnecessary plastics".
 
I'm sure he has been posted here before over the years but the worst plastic surgery, aside from freaks like the Bogdanoffs, is Mickey Rourke.
His face work is one of the biggest downgrades in plastic surgery history.

I'm gonna play devils advocate and say he honestly doesn't look THAT bad. Yeah he's melting a little but what man that age isn't melting little?

From what I can tell he got it out of his system and isn't continuously getting shit done to him unlike, say, Madonna. And he's nowhere near as freakish as a Bogdanoff or many of the much younger weirdos posted here.

All in all I'd give him a 4/10 for botchedness.

I agree with this. He looked oddly okay when I watched him in the recent Big Brother show. And he's 72.
I think it was much worse when he was in his forties. He's kinda grown into it now.
