IIRC, the story being passed around at the time was that this was an attack by her boyfriend. But with these sorts of things it's exceedingly difficult to track down the real story.

Yes they are, but troons are a combination of "been lied to so thoroughly" and "misogynist/misandrist" that they actually believe a surgery can change their biological sex organs OR they're (in the cases of "trans" women, believe the vagina only exists to be penetrated and that's what matters).
