I'm always reminded of
Pelagia of Antioch when I look at these women. Though that might be giving them too much credit. Pelagia was a famous prostitute, beautiful to look at, adorned in the finest clothing, jewels and gold. To even look at her was to risk your soul for the feelings of lust you'd be faced with.
A priest yells at the men who are afraid to look at her and he tells them that if they did half as much to live a godly life as she did to look the way she did they'd all get into heaven. Hearing this she lops off her breasts, gives her gold to the poor and lives in a hermit's cell until her death.
I just keep thinking if these women spent half the time they do on things that are productive they, and society, would be much better off for it.
