I would say it looks like he has one of those cheap Halloween masks, that try to look like a human face.
Expect he don't dress up as a joke. Instead of the occasional Halloween dress-up, he now looks like a serial killer with one of his victims faces on his face.

I know someone whose teenage son had this to correct a severe underbite and something odd about the growth of the maxilla too. It made a huge difference to him, he’s no longer having dental issues, breathing trouble, headaches etc. Surgeon did a really good job and he looks fantastic.It’s major surgery though, even as a teen where you bounce back he was out of action for a month. These guys getting a double jaw advancement often have poor results. There’s a lot of artistry with surgery and if you get the proportions wrong it looks weird.

It's tricky because you are moving some parts of the bone, while other parts stay in place, and you have the additional factor of how the tissues overlaying the bones will look. People who get le fort 1/bsso (the most common double jaw surgery variation) might have the appearance of weaker cheekbones (because their lower face moves forward while their middle and upper face does not), "chimp mouth" (prognathism), and changes in how the lips look. And then for others, it just doesn't matter that much, because the advancement is often around 4mm (less than one-fifth of one inch). This seems to be the case with people with a more "fleshy"-looking face.

Recovery time is indeed long, but it is absolutely worth it for someone who needs the surgery and could fit it into their schedule somehow.

The irony is that she had the kind of strong features that age well naturally. If she’d left well alone she’d look so much better. She’s had that Fox eyes thing by the looks. Always looks dreadful,
Alves looks like he has some lymphatic damage as well as weight gain - there’s a lot of extra fluid in the lower limbs.
