This is so deeply cringey, and I think this guy is some fairly prominent "cis ally" on Twitter and Reddit, so I wouldn't be surprised if this was already posted upthread. But this has to be the most terminally online tattoo I ever saw; The leftist, anti-Ben Shapiro tattoo so bad, even Reddit mocked him for it.

It used to be a fairly common stance. Many tattoo artists refused to tattoo hands, necks and faces unless the person was already covered in ink because it meant that they already knew what to expect. Nowadays nobody gives a fuck anymore, utter shame and incredibly daft.

I first went to the tattooist at 15, I was drunk.
He sighed, said "I need proof you're 18"

I went down the road to my mate who had an 18 year old brother, borrowed his brothers provisional driving licence and staggered back to the tattoo hut.

"Okay, what do you want?"

"I've only got a fiver"

"You can have this, this or this"

"I'll have that then"

He loaded up the gun, and to test it was ready he buzzed it on a large, round, ancient ink spot on his thumb that he'd been using for about 40 years. Then he inked me.

Can you imagine that now? So any blood diseases this guy had he had passed on to everyone he'd tattooed for years.

I'm still here. That was 45 years ago. Where his hut was has been a station car park for 40 years.

That's my story. Cunt me off.

For those unfamiliar, this is in reference to Bioshock. It's a quote from the game plus the tattoo of a chain the player character has.

No worries, it really does look like it with the font chosen. I love Bioshock, but too many people would confuse it with being in a gang if they just got the chains and not just being a gamer. I'd get something that shows more of the game itself, like these.

There's some great ones (and shit ones) out there. Game has great art direction.

The chain on the protagonist's wrists show that he's actually a slave to the commands of someone else, a tool, always strung along on the chain. The guy who built the city because he wanted his Ayn Rand paradise talks about the mentality of how a man chooses, a slave obeys, and how you should strive to choose. I like the reference, but again, it looks too much like a prison tat or you're a wannabe gangster. Not a good permanent choice, and again, too close to BDSM for comfort. :D

I've never understood why people would get tattoos from films/games/movies etc. I can't understand how some people want someone else's creative work permanently etched onto their skin literal cattle.
