Bad Tattoos - No regerts

I've never understood why people would get tattoos from films/games/movies etc. I can't understand how some people want someone else's creative work permanently etched onto their skin literal cattle.

For some people, a work affected them so greatly that it is something they want to have onto their skin. This is for people who found community within the media, like say you are a Star Trek fan and met several friends and even a spouse through conventions and meetups. Fighting game tournament winners. Something as odd as getting them through grief. Some are just brand whores or collector cattle, but others just love something that much and have a connection to it.

I think it is fine if the art direction is fine. Even if you don't care much about something anymore, you still want a tattoo that at least looks good. I think it's absolutely hilarious when it backfires though: the trans rights Harry Potter meltdown was hilarious. I'm sure some dipshits who got Five Nights at Freddy's tattoos malded hard when Cawthorne was revealed to vote right wing. It's something you have to take into consideration, which is why it's usually better to get something you're actually ride or die on or like... not a fucking brand.

I'm a geek apologist since I've met nice people with nerd tattoos, and find passionate autists something to admire (as long as they don't ruin their life savings or life in general for it). Besides, when they turn on a series or they just got it as a phase, you can laugh.

There's definitely a myriad of wonderful tattoos from media. I enjoy Warhammer (both fantasy and 40k), but I'd still post an inspired tattoo here if it was a Slaneesh demon on someone's head/face because that's cringe. This nerd has a tastefully done and placed chaos marine for example:
