The scary part is that the before/after covid one might not be a joke. Look at those Nord guys in the first one - really detailed. (Unless it's just a trace of something).
Imagine spending all your time honing your drafting skills and then you decide to make flat derivative garbage that looks like a parody.

I assumed he just grabbed some fantasy art off of google or something.

When I first encountered..... that... I thought it as like some Dilhole type edits where they were running a mundane comic through some filters and making the main characters in a S/M faggot relationship. then I realized there was no joke, it was just furfags.

We need to stop suffering the furry to live.

I love the psychedelic textures he uses and I can ignore the gayness, but the problem is that most of the time his comics are just not funny.
Whenever I see these comics on instagram, my eyes glaze over from the abundance of color and noise and I ignore the text lol, never knew this was a gay comic.

So I once again found the Instagram page for Rebecca Burgess, an author and illustrator who is obsessed with autism, asexuality, the French Revolution, and is currently writing another children’s graphic novel about tranny kids to “corrupt her detractors’ children with empathy.”

(The preview involved a tranny kid bitching that it physically hurts wearing the “wrong clothes” and possibly being gay for a black kid who was bitching about gendered school uniforms)
Believe it or not, it’s the French Revolution we’re focusing on now. Specifically her comic/upcoming graphic novel, Incorruptible.

Painting Robespierre in a positive light is certainly a choice and tends to be done by internet commies. But you can absolutely have a story about humanizing a horrible person from history. I’ve watched Downfall, I know there’s at least two movies like that about Hirohito. The problem here is that not only is Robespierre depicted as an uwu soft boi who’s doing his best, Rebecca really wants him to be gay or bi. Though apparently some people think he might’ve been asexual, which she’s also super into.

I know he was against slavery but something about this feels off.

Robespierre Realistic Panic Attack.

Below the spoiler is a very lengthy explanation for why she decided to write this comic. This also presents the idea that he might’ve been an autist.

Guys, he wasn’t a tyrant who sent people to the guillotine over his paranoia and power drunkenness! Don’t demonize him for autist traits or possibly not being straight! It was a tumultuous time! She’s totes qualified to talk about this by the way.

I can’t help but greatly doubt that this will be as good as Downfall was.
I also think the art style doesn’t really fit the subject matter too well. I’d tell her to stick to children’s books, but I also don’t want her work around children.
God, this was a pain in the ass to upload since KF kept shitting itself. Guess that’s my fault for being a mobilefag.

I've decided to do a little bit of editing with one of these comic strips and suffice to say, it flows so much better

Found out that these comic "artists" just don't have the balls to commit to the punchline.

EDIT: You know what, i can remove another panel and still get the punchline across.

I’m sure this has been brought up before in the thread, but literally any original webcomic I see coming from WebToon is like prime dogshit written by retards who think every Shonen Jump manga is peak fiction. It makes modern smut literature look like Shakesphere.

What is it with terminally online creative women being obsessed with the French Revolution? Xiran Jay Zhao (whiny they/them author of Iron Widow) is like this too. Is it the autism?

Well, a lot of the terminally online tend to follow Marxism/communism. And I’ve heard that the Jacobins can be considered a form of proto-Marxists. Also, they really want to guillotine the rich, perceived monarchs, and other people they hate. While ignoring (or outright denying in this case apparently) that many, many poor people were condemned to death for disagreeing with things like trying to change the damn calendar. Keep in mind too, it wasn’t just beheadings. Those people starved to death in prison or were horrifically drowned.
The Drownings at Nantes were a series of mass executions by drowning that took place in Nantes, France, between November 1793 and February 1794 during the Reign of Terror. Ordered by Jean-Baptiste Carrier, these executions targeted "royalist sympathizers" and involved tying victims to boats and drowning them in the Loire River. A particularly brutal method, known as a "republican marriage," involved tying naked men and women together before drowning them
I’m actually curious to see how Rebecca here explains the Reign of Terror. Did poor little Maxie pull a silly when he allowed all these atrocities?
