Baked Alaska / Tim Treadstone / Tim Gionet / Anthime Joseph Gionet - White rapper, alt-right "activist", ex-Buzzfeed contributor; got arrested at the March for Trump, and a federal snitch

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I included "pointing to public information" for that reason. It seems like everything was quite easily unearthed with the help of Dylan hmself. Baked staged a minor confrontation with Jim over Jim retweeting an Amazon link to the autism book. On grounds that that's illicit somehow.* But I'm under the impression that that's similar to what Vee did during the CRP debacle? And IBS guys hated it?

It has more to do with Dylan taunting the chat by saying that no one could do anything to him, then immediately telling everyone his name and employer. He challenged people to fuck with his life, then he gave people the information they needed to do that. He dared people to fuck with him. CRP is an idiot, but he wasn’t dumb enough to do that.

The book is golden.

"The title Chasing the Rabbit derives from Derek's analogy that Dylan is similar to a greyhound dog running around a track. The rabbit is normal. Dylan can see what normal looks like, and he can almost get to it, but no matter how fast he runs he never catches it."

> Father writes a book about his son having autism.
> Doesn't hide his identity.
> Baked gets son on stream.
> Son gives away his identity to hundreds of people.
> Son taunts, mocks and insults said people.
Right, Baked. It's totally everyone else's fault.

Why is it that when people talk autism, it's always about the parents? I understand it's hard, but as far as I know an autistic child is also a human being. Dunno, just comes off as wrong. Fuck Derek.

Okay, thanks so much. I now understand Baked's motley crew were on stream with him for many more hours than I realized.

This is a good shitshow, but what's with the recent surge in Internet paedophiles and their apologists?

This is a really good question that I'd like to dig up and maybe offer you some insight. A bit off-topic here, but I hope you'll indulge me.

Pedophilia is the thing everyone hates but nobody wants to talk about it. Now, put yourself into the mind of a pedophile 30-35 years ago. This internet is becoming a thing and anyone with half a brain and a little bit of knowledge about the technology of the day would realize that this communication network is almost entirely unregulated.

There are likely decades-old pedophile networks on the internet at this very moment, quietly going about their business like they have been since the 80s. And more to the point of your question: "what's with the recent surge in Internet paedophiles and their apologists?"

Pedophiles and their ilk have been part and parcel of the internet from the very beginning. Humanity finds a way, as they say. There is no surge, only more gunk to pull out of the drain.

Way more viewers than I thought , going my the dislikes guess hating watchers is his new target market

This is only sustainable when the host is able to not take things personally.

The comment section is pretty great. You've already got people saying "I didn't like the DMCA campaign but", and otherwise ignoring Baked's autism. So that leaves you with a pair of conclusions:

  • either these are new fans who don't seem to care about how hypocritical the DMCA campaign was, thus proving Metokur's point that Baked betrayed his fansbase; or,
  • these are his longtime fans that have been exposed as never really believing what Baked claimed to be preaching, which also reflects very poorly on Baked.
*Edit: at the 9 minute mark (roughly two minutes after Baked starts talking) he plugs streamlabs after lamenting that he can't do superchat. Then he says "I think everything's gonna blow over."

Ah and there he is again. He doesn't want "toxic" people in his community. :^)

I load up the video to watch and the first thing I see is an ad for the suicide prevention hotline.

Wonder what this weekend will be like...
And that background music, too. Didn't the watch the whole thing. Saw that, skipped a few minutes then left; so can't tell if it was serious of a joke. If serious, way to go. First thing we hear about the guy in half a week, and the first thing he chooses to do is attempting to guilt-trip the Internet. Sad thing is it seemed like he was stopping losing subscribers.

@Monster of the week "Guilt trip" is exactly the way I would put it, too.

I'd also use the words "information campaign" to describe what I'm hearing and seeing. Baked is hyping up the scale of the shitshow by saying things like "I've never seen anything like this before" and trying to claim a moral high ground when he says "we're not perfect here at the BA experience". At 16:20 he announces he's going to read the Prayer to the Archangels. And don't forget the shoutouts to other e-celebs. Faith Goldy in da house!!! Meanwhile he's glossing over what his mistakes were and focusing in on the adulation of his dwindling fanbase. All the while he's doubling down on the things that started this shitshow to begin with: he doesn't want "toxicity" in his community.

This guy is going straight down the fake redemption checklist.

*EDIT: Man, fuck this guy. All you need to know is right fucking here:

At 16:58 after a brief pause for thought: "This channel is a channel to uplift people. It's a channel to encourage people. It's a channel to have a fun time. So that is what I've decided and obviously that was something that people were upset with and I'll just put it out there. It's gonna be a fun channel. It's gonna be an uplifting channel. It's gonna be encouraging. It's gonna be a place you can call home.

And if that's not something you want to be a part of, that's totally fine. I'm not gonna cry about it. I'm not gonna care if you don't want to be a part of it. That's okay. This is a new venture for me: building up a community that I love and that loves each other.

And of course I could totally- dude, do you know how easy it would be for me to say 'I don't care if someone's being a complete asshole to everyone all the time, they're donating!' And I could a lot more money by keeping every single person around... but that's not the goal here. The goal here is to build a real community. To build a long-lasting, sustained community that does good things for the country. That does good things for America. That does good things for white people, for white civil rights. That's uncucked, that tells the truth, and has integrity. Real talk."

By the power of the Based Lord, AMEN!.... now time to read some superchats"

That's where this shit is heading.

This annoyed me and I'm gonna dive in some more and set the record straight since Baked is trying to rewrite recent history. First and foremost:

"This channel is a channel to uplift people. It's a channel to encourage people. It's a channel to have a fun time. So that is what I've decided and obviously that was something that people were upset with"
  • That was not why people were upset with BA. People were upset with BA because he had moved to LA, strange new people were showing up on his streams, and his long-held beliefs and behaviors were changing. Not necessarily a problem, but BA insisted this was not occurring and lashed out against his base for saying so.
"It's gonna be a fun channel."
  • "It's gonna be a fun channel" an increasingly worried man says for the 12th time on stream.
"And if that's not something you want to be a part of, that's totally fine. I'm not gonna cry about it. I'm not gonna care if you don't want to be a part of it. That's okay."
  • Baked keeps telling himself this. But you go back to the Chadstream you'll see Baked attempt to damage control Chad's "if you don't like it, unsubscribe" comment on several occasions. Now he doesn't care.
"do you know how easy it would be for me to say 'I don't care if someone's being a complete asshole to everyone all the time, they're donating!' And I could a lot more money by keeping every single person around... but that's not the goal here."
  • And yet this is precisely how Baked built up his fanbase to begin with. Do I even need to link to the stream where BA, Warski, and Asian Andy were walking around LA with a speaker that kept shouting "nigger" every five minutes for cash payouts??
"The goal here is to build a real community. To build a long-lasting, sustained community that does good things for the country. That does good things for America. That does good things for white people, for white civil rights. That's uncucked, that tells the truth, and has integrity."
  • Liberalists USA when?
"Real talk."

This absolute assclown either has some serious retardation, or balls. He's spewing this load of garbage after picking up a trend that's called internet bloodsports, and was even listed on a website for it. If there was any doubt in my mind that this asshole is just a fair-weather, opportunistic, greedy, fame-whoring fuck who's willing to backstab anyone as long as he thinks it'll get him ahead either in fame or lucre, it's sure as shit gone now. What a piece of shit.

From the quotes it sounds like BA is morphing into DSP.

Even DSP has standards, and I'm pretty sure he'd look down on someone like BA at this point, which is really saying something.

I'm gonna timestamp this video so you guys can just click on it. Give this segment a listen.

This superchat rolls in and you can see Baked perk up at it, after all it's a payout! The content of the comment is not to his liking, however; and you can visibly see his lip tweak out as the TtS finishes reading the post. But the real gem here is the line he drops immediately after the negative, jokingly racist comment:

"Uhhhhhokay, thank you bro. You're the type of people we don't want around here. But thank you for your money. Do you guys see... do you guys see these toxic people that want to just kill everyone? It's kinda weird."

You also notice how BA hasn't been using the "I was told this would get me banned from YouTube" line anymore? Really makes you think.

"You're the type of people we don't want around here. But thank you for your money." -The Baked Alaska Experience

That was pretty disgusting. It's funny that he's so stupid that he thinks he's taken the right turn for his youtube "career" by doing all this shit. He might still have subscribers, but he put something on his sub count and income with it.

Is it grammatically correct to put a conjugation after a semicolon? English ain't my first language but I'm trynna learn.

:offtopic::powerlevel:

It's funny you pointed this out because I rewrote that sentence a few times with the same consideration in mind. Ultimately I went with an incorrect form because the two sentences were still very much related and I figured nobody would notice. I could have swapped out "and you" with "furthermore" or something of the sort, but I had already written it down and was cutting/pasting/being lazy at that point.

As long as you aren't using a semicolon really improperly I don't think most people will mind. 90% of English speakers/writers avoid using the punctuation altogether because of how wonky its rules can be. As it were, the original, unpublished sentence was written with the proper form:

"The content of the comment is not to his liking; however, you can visibly see his lip tweak out as the TtS finishes reading the post."

But when spoken out loud (this is the most important proofreading step) it was clear that the way I built the thought was as a way to modify the preceding sentence, placing the word "however" before the semicolon, rather than after which would have been technically correct.

"The content of the comment is not to his liking, however; and you can visibly see his lip tweak out as the TtS finishes reading the post."

The mistake was a result of my brain deferring to what sounded better in spoken English, rather than in written English. Hope that helps! English is silly like that. Maybe next time I'll just use a soft period... or a hard comma? I don't fucking know, I'm a product of the American public school system; I had to teach most of this stuff to myself in my 20s.
