Baldur's Gate III Announced - ...and it's coming to Google Stadia and PC

Please tell me the game never mentions Abdel Adrian.

So, any woke shit forced in there?
That was why I was glad Beamdog isn't doing BG3.

NOOOOOOOOO YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO MAKE NON BINARY POC NOT WHITE HUMANS!

Related: The default skin tone for humans when you select them is black. People are picking human and manually changing it to white.

This post doesn't say "white man bad" it says "you created the blandest possible guy".
But hey don't let me stop you from jacking off with your rage boner like /v/ has been doing for the last 2 days.
You know what, nah, fuck you /v/ermin. Gimmie a hat.

it was a joke
can't have those in 2020
Jokes fall flat all the time. Gotta read your room. It's the exact sort of thing you'd expect to see in some shitty article.

Edit - For the record, it personally won't affect my decision to buy the game or not. Some character creator bs is small shit.

so?
does that mean we can crucify the devs now, because the joke didn't land with some politic-obsessed dip- Exceptional Individuals?
you know, it bugs me
people who bitch the loudest about political correctness, dangerhairs ruining their shit and so on are also the ones who react the same kind of way to the same kind of situations.
and i'm just so goddamn tired of pretending that's somehow not retarded. take your political baiting somewhere else, don't shit where you sleep ffs

Hey, if it bugs you, you're already more emotionally involved in this than me. Are there people saying to crucify the devs? If so, yeah, that's pretty retarded.

All it gets from me is an eyeroll.

There's no Skeleton Option and it's fucking bothering me because it's so close to DOS2 that it feels like it should just be there.
Just downloaded Original Sin 2 a couple of days ago. I wasn't expecting it to be so big - that's six hours I'll never see again.

It's a massive game with a shitload of areas to explore. Once you're close to the end of the first act it's reccomended you kill all the NPCs so you can get their EXP and level up, especially if you're doing tactician mode.

I tend to pick dark skin and pure white long flowing hair, it's statistically the least picked combo

I always kil the NPCs if the game lets me. I mean, what else are they good for beyond the odd quest and pre-programmed comments?

Alright, i finished the EA for now and i have some thoughts. The game is pretty good so far but definitely needs a few mechanical improvements on top of polish to make it the best it could be.

- it needs to incentivize using buffs and debuffs much more, and possibly introduce more environmental effects that influence gameplay
- talking your way out of situations should reward you with EXP for killing said enemies, and those enemies should no longer give EXP after death
- alternatively there should be a system that scales EXP gain to your level compared with enemy level, or just do like W3 and reward EXP for finishing quest more than killing random wildlife
- ranged abilities that don't use up resources should be weaker
- jumping should be automatic for the rest of your team after you jump with one character, doing it with everyone individually is really grading
- there needs to be a toggle for who talks in conversations instead of the game just picking whoever you're controlling at the time, if your character is fragile but charismatic he can't lead the team into potential conflict because he gets totaled immediately
- there should be some indication of how your choices will influence your relationships, it could be optional but it should be there, as it stands its kind of a lottery or at least it feels like it
- there needs to be some sort of a money sink, and the game should have a system for autoselling junk trash like in F4
- as is items you get aren't terribly interesting or useful, i don't know DnD well so this might not be fixable
- most offensive spells are also pretty boring, probably because of the lack of interesting buffs and debuffs

I assume most D&D fans wouldn't like the idea of just letting your skill checks be determined by the highest stat in the party, like Wasteland 3?

That would be pretty bad even when it would make perfect sense, you'll have really high chances to pass almost every check since its a roll and not a flat check.
Not to much in the spirit of things i don't think.
That said as is the game has a few situations where its beneficial to switch from your "talking guy" to your "smashing guy" because checks in a location are themed for strength and such, that's pretty neat.

Pick the averages or most common and of course the weird stuff isn't going to come up.
The weird shit isn't even that good.

When they say horns I want huge elaborate door way bumping monstrosities that increase my character's height by 3 feet or more. They just have shitty little horns that's almost like why bother since they're so small.

I saw this today and it gave me a chuckle. I mean if they included a variant human than that comes as no surprise. Get that early feat, get that early lucky feat, play a diviner. Shit on the die roll system all day.

Also I'm strangely optimistic about the game. I love turn based stuff, 5e seems like it's built to fit into a video game, larion does combat well. The story, from what little I know about it, looks a little too over the top but that's personal preference.

I'll probably drop my 60 when its out of early access.
