Dynastia's shitposting is a necessary evil. It keeps us as a community from taking this bullshit, and occasionally- ourselves- too seriously.
 
HAHA this smells of butthurt weebs mad that Dyn wouldn't give their hentai movies a chance.
 
If they annoy you why not just block them. It's like they are banned as far as your concerned. You don't see their posts.
 
As much as Dynastia does get annoying at times. You need someone like him on the forums.

The forum already has a huge problem with people being too sensitive. This is something /cow/ and edf already make fun of us about. Derailing threads is another matter and something that should be reported (and has already lead to Dynastia being banned from Deep Thoughts). But I believe banning someone like Dynastia sets a dangerous precedent and leads the forum into a direction I don't agree with.

You develop relationships with people.

You will never have 100% straight discussion on a forum like this, and I wouldn't want it even if it were possible. How fucking joyless and empty would that be if we were 100% straight laced on a website about people who shit themselves and dress like women? I started hosting the forum because it was an interesting mix of lightheartedness and insight. You'd see a lot of jokes (some good, some bad) interspersed with novel points of view that make you consider a person's life from a different perspective. If we started banning everyone for taking the piss we'd end up with a board of about 100 people all writing posts like Jaimas. I love Jaimas, but for real, I can only read so many essays a day and pay attention. There needs to be balance.

And, in addition to balance, there needs to be a level of personal responsibility. How fucking hard is it to see that Dynastia calling Dobson "not a lolcow" for the nth time is a bait? Why do I need to tell people this? Why does him saying that give people existential crises? I grafted a fucking bait hook to every post LIC made and it didn't help. That's just life, man. There are many people, they all behave in different ways, and unless there's a serious amount of disharmony from them being in the community, you just deal with them. Dynastia and his kin all contribute more to the forum than they take away, so I'm not banning them.

This is a load of shit. Basically you're saying he's been shitposting for so long so it's okay. If a newer member would go around random threads and shitpost they would be banned so clearly he is above the rules. The comparison with Cat and Jaimas is also bullshit. Cat part(l)y shitposts but also posts good threads and makes relevant posts sometimes. Doesn't matter if you or anyone else think Jaimas' posts are too long or even wrong, they are at least on topic and not shitposting 101. I've never seen Dynastia make a good post or even a neutral one, it's all absolute trash.

With older members you can sorta make a guess whether they're just shitposting or if they're actually retarded, with newer users who've yet to prove that they're not retarded, more people will suspect the latter. I can't fault people for taking old funposters' posts at face value if they don't know them, but if you don't find them funny, just report the post you feel is breaking the rules, add them to the gear grinder and move on. Letting them know you're saltier than the Dead Sea because of their postings is only further encouraging them and showing them that they're right in treating the forums as their personal litterbox.

After reviewing all the evidence I have decided Dyn should be banned and would like to start a movement and protest to make this happen.
