So yeah, what's your favorite style and dish?

I'm partial to KC style, but have also had Tennessee. I love me some ribs and burnt ends.

I've had Carolina years ago, but don't remember it. Never had Korean or Texas.

Texas BBQ all the way for me. I love slow roasted and smoked meat, especially beef brisket. I also like the option of sauce on the side instead of directly on the meat, so I can make a few different sauces and dip brisket in it.

That said, I can't say I hate any particular style of BBQ. There are good things about each one, and as meat is my favorite food group, I'd be remiss to single any specific one out.

Unless you're just slapping a store bought bottle of sauce on plain ribs. Then we must fight.

Whatever style lends itself most to marinating in advance. When you're on a 2021 budget a cheap beer, some seasoning, some meat tenderizer and about an hour or two of soaking is the perfect way to turn a bottom shelf select sirlion into a quality meal.

We have a local BBQ guy where i live that has been doing it for literal decades. Actually better than Sweet Baby Rays and everything you buy is cooked perfectly (at least when he does it) . Im not really into barbecue enough to know the difference in styles. Go find your local bbq you incels.

I’m partial to both Kansas City-style and Memphis-stye barbecue due to both being somewhat sweet. As far as meats go I tend to stick to brisket or pork baby back ribs (and occasionally sausage), I’m not a big fan of barbecued chicken.
I have never heard of Alabama white sauce. Will have to see if I can find a recipe.
From what I’ve read it’s basically a mayonnaise-based BBQ sauce.
