Predictions for my team, The San Francisco Giants: A disappointing season indeed, much more so than 2011.... the Giants are fighting the Padres just to stay out of last place.

My friend is a Giants fan, and all we talk about is baseball. You can tell he wants the season to end at this point because he's stopped returning my call.

Either that, or I've been accidentally texting his work phone after he switched jobs. I should probably look into that.

Being from Kansas City, being a baseball fan has typically meant that you are also a masochist. But, this year has at least been a blast. Considering that Dayton Moore (our GM) inherited pretty much nothing from the Majors down into the lowest level of the minors when he came in 2007, I think I can wait a little more to see some concrete results. But, man, Ned Yost has got to go.

Someone wanna explain why this World Series is being called sketchy? I have no idea.

Judging by how much money the Royals make for what little results there have been on the field, I found the perfect portrait for David Glass.

Three more weeks!
Mets play their first game at home vs Washington.
This is our year.....we need another year please

I hope the Giants can turn it around this season tho its going to be tough with the Dodgers buying everyone

Giants have a big payroll and a lot of talent, too, so it should be a dogfight. Unlikely everyone collapses/gets hurt like last season.

Let's see what the Giants can do this year, if the chemistry is good and other teams still underestimate them, I can see them going to the World Series again. (Those are big IFs tho)

So many ifs there. I'd just be happy with a close, good race down to the wire. Vogelsong is a wild card, Timmy hasn't been good for a while now, and Hudson is old. For the position players, Sandoval is wildly inconsistent, Morse sucks, and Scutaro is another year older.

Not doom and gloom, but even a competitive season is a win for next year.

I doubt the Giants can even make it to the playoffs this season, I mean they don't have Barry Zito to make another deal with the devil.

Who knows, maybe this will be the year the Cubs win it all!

...

Who am I kidding (:_(

The only way the Cubs can win a world series is if a Magic Johnson type of entrepeneur buys the team and is willing to wait a few years until his investment starts producing profits (Same goes for the Astros)

Or if Jackson, Castro, Samardzija, and Rizzo stop playing like a bunch of schmucks. Astros are fine, they are in a heavy rebuilding phase and they have one of the best farm systems in the game. Give it a year or two and you're gonna seen them in the playoffs.

On another note I'm glad the Braves weren't just sitting on their thumbs the entire offseason.

Let's go Royals. Or, at least, let's go get the AL Central now that Detroit will be down and Cleveland looked like a fluke team last year.

I'm gonna hold you up to that, I don't see the Astros going to the playoffs anytime soon, remember, these are the guys who passed on Jeter.

Baseball season has started.

The Indians won yesterday AUGH YEAH

And a pitching coach for the Angels broke his leg catching for the ceremonial first pitch.
