Alex Cora took over a Red Sox team that won 93 games in back to back years, won the World Series his first year there with a stacked roster, and hasn't done shit since. Granted, Red Sox management/ownership is a dumpster fire and they fucked the team over with some terrible decisions (historically awful Mookie trade that people will be talking about for decades, Devers trade got nothing in return, not being able to sign big free agents), but you also can't say that Cora does anything to make them that much better.
I could see Cora being hired by the Mets because that Mendoza guy is a legit retard and I'm stunned he hasn't been fired yet.
talking about managers and coaching staffs is frustrating because the same people who tell you that "coaches and managers can't swing the bat for them" when a team is tanking will also tell you the same people are the greatest manager/coach ever when things are going well.

I am so fucking tired of hitters not being able to simply execute at the plate.

Dodgers have runners at the corners with 1 out, trailing by 1 run. Up comes Kyle Tucker and tries to launch a fucking homer on the very first pitch. The result ? A pop up, followed by Muncy predictably grounding out and killing off all of the momentum.

I have no issues with guys getting beaten by great tactics and pitching, but Jesus, this obsession with trying to homer on every swing makes me want to break shit.

This is why big money free agents are absolutely no guarantee of success or outcomes. Tucker is apparently more interested in checking social media on his phone in the fucking dugout, so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised now should I ?

Don't think I've ever seen an entire division collectively slump like this before.

One commonality: the Cubs' last 3 series have been against those top 3 teams. 1-2 @ LAD, 2-1 @ SDP, 3-0 vs. ARI. You guys can all go back to your shitty starting times now and let the Cubs concentrate on trying to beat teams in their own division.
