Both the Astros and Rangers are 79-81 going into the final two games of the season. Even if one of them wins out to finish 81-81, they would officially be the WORST record team to ever make the postseason, just below the 2005 Padres who went 82-80 and won the division.
I hope they end below .500 just to have a cherry on this clown season.

Also, Philly what the hell are you doing lmao. You lose Luzardo and somehow everyone forgets how to hit a baseball.

For every Kiwi on here who knows a Phillies fan, take a moment to send them your condolences and remind them how important they are to you.

It might just save their life tonight.
Phillies fan here. Since the Phils got stomped in the 83 WS by the Orioles, I've lived by addage "hope for the best, expect the worst". It's never failed me yet, lol.

With the Post season set, here are my predictions

AL
Astros > White Sox,
Yankees > Red Sox
Cleveland > Astros
Yankees > Rays
Yankees > Cleveland

NL
Braves > Phillies
Padres > Cubs
Dodgers > Braves
Padres > Brewers
Dodgers > Padres

WS
Dodgers > Yankees

As a Mariners fan, this season was uniquely demoralizing. After last year's playoff run, and the off-season signings and additions, we started this season expecting greatness. And then... the 2026 season happened. Disastrous reversion in both offense and defense.

Dismal offensive numbers, with what was a murderer's row top-four last year barely breaking .200. Starting pitching that, while still good, were significantly worse year-on-year. And a bullpen that was completely mismanaged and progressively fell apart as the season progressed.

Game after game where a good start was only supported by one or two solo home runs, which would inevitably be given up by leaving the starter in for an inning too long. Or the bullpen just shitting the bed in the 7th. Even victories were slogs that ended up feeling like defeats. Miserable.

The complete disaster of the AL West made it all worse. No matter how bad the M's played, they were still in contention for the division. There was always hope. Cursed hope.

I'd also note that this video unfairly picks on Randy Arozarena, though. As dumb as he can be on the base paths and fielding, he actually earned his all-star spot, being the only consistent bright spot in the offense. He's going to get seriously paid somewhere else next year, and we're going to miss his retarded ass.

Lots of good stories this postseason. Going into 2026 season, Dodgers and Mets sounded like unstoppable bags of money. Mets aren't here, and Dodgers are at least showing cracks. Phillies are limping in, are starting Luzardo who hasn't pitched a game since injury, but can spoil the Braves for the third time in 5 years.

Brewers, Rays, Guardians are some of the cheapest teams in the league, each got the bye, and they're on fire. But they will each likely be playing teams with much more recent postseason experience.

Red Sox vs Yankees is always fun. Yankees need to prove themselves without Judge.

Padres I'm biased against, hope they wet fart their way out again. I hope the Cubs do well so PCA gets his flowers.

Astros, also biased. White Sox should get a Cinderella story.

I just want a White Sox - Cubs World Series Final. Partly because the jokes about the Pope being a Chicago Sports Fan write themselves, mostly to see if we get a Chicago Riot depending on who wins.

Is there really even that much animosity between the Cubs and White Sox or their respective fanbases? It is understandable why the 2000 World Series or a potential Dodgers-Angels World Series would be this fierce competition when the teams involved have such contrasting histories. Both the Cubs and White Sox however have almost the same exact history: marred by struggles and misfortune before finally overcoming their long title droughts during a cinderella run.

I feel like Chicago fans would just be happy that both teams managed to accomplish something and that the spotlight was back on the City of Chicago for a change.

White Sox have the only thing that matters - THE BLESSING OF THE POPE

They're going all the way baby, Murakami is getting him a fucking chip. LETS GO SOX

And I agree, but we've seen dumber shit happen for significantly stupider reasons. I just want kino sports riot footage.
