That shit isn't happening lmao. I don't know if the all but guaranteed lockout will end before 2028.

Season is definitely gone. Too big of a gulf between the big teams that want no cap and the small teams that want no floor. The media rights tangle and revenue sharing are also huge sticking points.

All despite being FIRST in their division.

Being King of Mediocre Mountain isn't much to he proud of.

Max Scherzer comes out of nowhere with a 7 IP/1 H/0 ER/1 BB/10 K performance against the Mariners. Utter fucking dominance. He now surpasses Gaylord Perry for the 9th most career strikeouts and is only 19 strikeouts behind Justin Verlander

It's amazing how a lineup with Cal Raleigh, Julio Rodriguez, Randy Arozarena, and Josh Naylor can be dead fucking last in nearly every offensive category.

The Cubs hammered the Reds 17-5 today, and Pete Crow-Armstrong went 4/6 with 3 home runs and 6 RBI batting leadoff. He's now up to 36 homers and still has an outside chance to have a 40-40 season as he's at 32 stolen bases.
Hate to reply to myself, but he had 2 more home runs yesterday (including another leadoff homer) in a loss to the Reds. During that series he went 8/16 with 5 home runs and 8 RBI.

PCA is having a generational season so of course the Cubs end up having the worst bullpen in the entire league. They're so bad they may single-handedly cause us to miss the playoffs entirely

Arte Moreno has sold the Angels to LA Rams owner Stan Kroenke.

LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOO! GOD HAS ANSWERED OUR PRAYERS! HALLEJUAH, HALLEJUAH, HALLEJUAH!!

Now we're going back to being called the Anaheim Angels, and just like that the curse is being lifted?! OH SWEET GLORY OF GLORIES, MIKE TROUT'S CAREER HAS BEEN SAVED

Stan "Moses" Kroenke, get us the hell out of this desert of pain. Immediately get to work on making crossover Rams/Angels giveaways. I can't believe this is real

Congrats Angels fans, the Great Satan has been defeated - or replaced by a more competent Great Satan, depending on your feelings about Kroenke.

Mans collecting sports teams like Infinity Stones, but they seem to all be doing alright.

Yesterday: Cleveland Indians smoke Toronto Blue Jays 6-1.

Today: Blue Jays genocide Indians 11-0 and the Half-Billion Dollar Man hit a home run and a couple RBIs for once this season. Although remove him entirely the Jays should still have win 6-0.

Random manifesto because I’ve been pondering why I only like baseball of all sports: people call baseball slow but I’ve always viewed it as a pair of Old West gunfighters squaring off—I’ll give you slow most of the time versus other sports but only like a handful of football plays or soccer attempts on goal are tense (basketball is solved now, but old games are tense pretty often). Every single pitch is tense in baseball and it just ratchets up.

I can’t exactly explain why, but baseball is a great experience in person but boring as hell on TV. Outside of a bar I’ve never watched a baseball game on screen, but I love going to games a couple times a year. Maybe it’s because I was fortunate enough to go to AAA games as a kid (stupid cheap ticket prices), but it’s just so much better in person.

Football, on the other hand, is made for TV. Unless you’re shelling out thousands for the best seats in the house it’s basically unwatchable in a stadium. On the big screen though it’s great.

That may be where the “baseball is boring” argument comes from, people who have only watched on TV and never gone in person.

I think baseball's a great watch whether it's in person or on TV. For the more casual fan though, I think it's harder to keep interest in baseball because the regular season games aren't as individually consequential as games are for the other three major sports (particularly football.)

When a baseball team loses 5 games in a row (in the first couple of months especially) it's usually not that much of a story unless they've been obliterated and outscored 50-5; it's a bad stretch, one bad week in a sport where the schedule is jam packed full of games for about half of the calendar year. When it happens in football it's about a month and a half of watching a team sinking their entire season, but after each game a fanbase typically has 4 to 8 days to ruminate before their team hits the field again.

Huge important game going on for the NL and NL central going on on right now. Possible MVP PCA hit another two run homer, but will it be enough?

Whoever wins this will have big implications for the Cubs or the Phillies hosting a wildcard series.

As a Cubs fan, I don't want any part of that crew and their riot punch at home, they're dangerous in the playoffs. They're passionate fans!

Edit: I love these fox sports baseball broadcasts. "Caleb Williams was a huge number 1 pick for The Bulls!"

Umm ok dude I guess
