The MLB love to jump the shark or even nuking the fridge often, they added betting ads at the "Field of Dreams" park.
MLB’s return to Iowa’s “Field of Dreams” has brought something that appears to be new (and controversial) to the sentimental game.
Gambling advertising from BetMGM and FanDuel can be seen plastered on the outfield wall, according to a social media post from a baseball journalist. Many observers slammed the promotion of gambling at the park, an expected fan reaction given the legal betting industry’s declining public approval.
The sportsbook signage is visible at the newly constructed permanent ballpark in Dyersville, Iowa, where the Philadelphia Phillies and Minnesota Twins played Thursday night’s Field of Dreams game.
The venue sits next to the site made famous by the 1989 movie Field of Dreams, starring Kevin Costner.
MLB returned to Iowa this year after previously holding games there in 2021 and 2022.

This bullpen in Atlanta is going to be exhausted if he keeps running them out there every night over and over because he refuses to let any pitcher go 7 or more innings. Chris Sale hasn't even done it in months and the last two seasons he was going 7+ multiple times a month. I'm expected to think our starters can get through the playoffs when he won't even let them attempt a 7th inning? Meanwhile the bullpen blows multiple leads because they're working like they're the only pitchers on the team because of bad starter management.

To be fair, that might be coming from upper management, not Weiss.
 
Joshua Baez of the St. Louis Cardinals made his debut today in Wrigley.
He proceeded to hit 3 home runs in his first 3 plate appearances, one to left, one to center and one to right. The third time in MLB history that a player hit 2 home runs in his first 2 plate appearances, and the first time in MLB history for 3 homers in first 3 plate appearances. In his fourth plate appearance, he lined out. Best debut for a position player ever?

Frankly if a minority owner isn't risking federal prison for securities fraud your team just simply isn't trying hard enough.
