This AB basically sums up the Royals' existence right now

I'm surprised they're still going with this BLM pandering thing after all the damage these chimp outs have caused. Probably because no ones going be able to attend the games as is.
They're trying to please everyone. Yankees knelt pre-anthem and had everyone wearing BLM shirts, but they also invited Trump to throw the 1st pitch at the home opener. Reporters and players like Lindsey Adler and Amir Garrett are trying to say they support BLM the "movement" but not the organization. I think the end result is just going to be everyone getting pissed off.

That sums up Bubba Starling's career since being drafted 5th overall, too. Using the power of hindsight it's hard to believe that he was picked just before Anthony Rendon and three picks ahead of Francisco Lindor. It happens every year, but that 2011 first round had a hell of a lot of talent that the Royals missed out on. Not only that, but the cash strapped Royals signed him for more than 2.5 times the amount that the Indians signed Lindor for.

I am also. Even on Twitter, the reactions have been mostly negative. I would assume doing this virtue signaling is going to be bad for business short-term, and even worse later in the decade once Gen Z kids become paying fans who will be laughing at this woke shit era as they HATE it.

I got to see the Royals win a world series in my lifetime, so whatever.

Also, you can please some of the people all the time or all the people some of the time. They're making the bed, just a matter if time before they get fucked in it. The organization and the 'movement' are joined at the hip, so yeah, they're fucked.

Watching the Nats game right now (I'm a Nats fan).

Even though there's a lot of virtue signaling bullshit, and even though Fauci is a hypocritical faggot who should have never shown up to throw that hilarious first pitch, it sure does feel nice to have sports on the TV right now.

God damn, I have missed sports.

WNBA says hold my beer

So the NBA and WNBA want to childishly walk out during the National Anthem, crying "justice" and "human rights" all the while they bend over backwards for China.

What a fucking joke. At least the WNBA doesn't have to worry about losing viewership; it'll probably be the same as always. I'm sure the three people who watch it loved the anti-American display.

Now that is completely, and totally unfair.

One of those 3 people is somebody who falls asleep every night watching sports center and accidentally leaves the TV on, maligning him as Anti-American is a grave injustice.

The Nats look good too, I kind of had their 2019 run written off in my head as a fluke but even without Rendon they look like contenders.

Washington could definitely repeat this year. I'd say the Dodgers are the favourites to win the World Series this year, but they always choke.

Most annoying part of being an NL East fan is knowing that your division is either going to be trash with one good team in it, or there's going to be 4, maybe 5 good teams in it beating the piss out of each other. Braves, Nats, Phillies, and Mets all have rosters that SHOULD be good this year, and should be contenders (If Braves don't choke yet a-fucking-gain.), meanwhile the Marlins at any point could come out and win another world series because why not? They've done that shit twice.

As a former fan of an NL East team (RIP Expos), I totally understand. My prediction is that the Nats and Braves get the two NL East playoff spots, the Phillies play like crap for most of the season but fall ass-backwards into a wild card spot, and the Mets met it up by being in playoff position for most of the season but get swept in their last series with the Marlins and miss out.

I was kind of hoping for a fight but I'll settle for Joe Kelly scaring the shit out of Bregman and then taunting Correa.
