FWIW he actually still pitched really well after he wasn't allowed to use spider tack anymore (the crackdown was all the way back in June), that was when he had his CSGO against Houston and he was considered a Cy Young contender up until September when he had a hamstring injury. Before that injury his ERA was hovering around 2.50. Since the injury it's been like 5.00+. IMO he's been playing hurt and that's the biggest explanation for the decreased performance in the past month.HIGHEST PAID PITCHER IN BASEBALL COULDN'T MAKE IT PAST SIX OUTS WITHOUT SPIDER TACK

Who cares, he picks his nose and eats it.Aaron Boone is the first Yankees manager since 1922 to go 4 full seasons without winning the World Series and not be fired. It was really nice that he hit a home run 18 years ago but that doesn't qualify him for the job.

But then again, maybe I'm just coping because he's going to be here until 2028. Also he's technically not the highest paid pitcher in baseball, Bauer is.
Absolute bomb by Chris Taylor to walk it off. Cody Bellinger finally showed up big with a single, a pair of walks and a pair of steals after being absolutely terrible all year. The NL Wild Card Game was definitely much more exciting than the AL one was.Dodgers win.
I was thinking the same. You can still hold out hope that the broke ass Rays beat them in a series.I was hoping that Dodgers would lose because it'd be hilarious that a $300 million payroll couldn't even make it to the NLDS.
Same, but it's entirely because I recently speculated on some Nolan Arenado rookie cards. He's still probably going to the HoF, but this is one less championship to make him worth Jeter-tier bucks.I was hoping that Dodgers would lose because it'd be hilarious that a $300 million payroll couldn't even make it to the NLDS.
I'm sorry my team didn't show up for the playoffsLooks like we're getting the most boring and repetitive playoff matchups for the rest of the way.
