Oh if you think that Sterling style call was worth a horrifying emote, here are the two most revealing photos of Suzyn Waldman the internet has to offer, for your spank bank.

Clayton Kershaw had a perfect game going with 13 K's against the Twins before Dave Roberts pulled him after 80 pitches and a 6-0 lead. With one out in the 8th, Gary Sanchez singled for Minnesota.

I know baseball had a short spring training and Kershaw has a history of injury problems, but you have to let him back out there to try. Fuck this pussyfied league. Perfect games are rarer than shit. I feel bad for the fans at the ballpark.

Funny enough there was a perfect game in Nippon Professional Baseball on Sunday by Roki Sasaki.

REAL baseball.

Can't believe this kid is just barely 20. Huge explosion of young talent in Japan currently.
For better or worse, the Japanese don’t seem to give a shit about pitch counts. I try to keep an eye on NPB and other leagues but English language coverage, much less streaming options are bad.

As for Sasaki, someone might fork over half a billion dollars when the time comes based on the little I have seen of him.

Although it's extremely early in the season, Seiya Suzuki looks to be making an effortless transition from NPB to the MLB. Glad he's living up the hype thus far.

Also, I knew the Braves outfield would be questionable to start the season but somehow they're even worse than they were after last year's all star break. Really can't wait to see Acuña back in the field ASAP.

Two very solid, long time pitchers (both mostly known for their time in the National League) retired today:

Lefty reliever Tony Watson, best known for his time with the Pirates, announced that he's done after 11 seasons. He finished with a nice 2.90 ERA in just under 650 career innings; he only had one season (2019 with the Giants) with an ERA of 4 or more. His peak came between 2013 and 2015 where he had an ERA of 1.97 in 224.1 innings; in the first of those three seasons he made the NL All-Star Team. He pitched no fewer than 60 regular games in every MLB season with the exception of his rookie year (69 games between AAA and Pittsburgh) and the 2020 season which was only 60 games anyway.

Righty starter Jake Arrieta, best known with his time as a Cub where he won the Cy Young award in 2015 and was an NL All-Star, a Silver Slugger winner and part of the World Series club in 2016, announced that he's done after 12 seasons. In over 1200 career innings he ends with a 3.98 ERA and a record of 115-93. His 2013 midseason trade from Baltimore to Chicago is one of the biggest fleeces in recent memory and from 2014 to 2017 he was probably one of the top 10 starters in the NL. He also hit 6 career homers in 426 plate appearances.

Trevor Bauer was finally handed his suspension, 324 games/2 full years of baseball.

He has been on administrative leave since July 2nd, 2021 over the accusation of domestic abuse and rape, even though a judge determined the girl was bullshitting over a lot of it and prosecutors refused to press charges.

For example, the woman claimed Bauer cracked her skull from punching and hitting her head during sex and tried to use medical intake forms as proof, even though the same forms revealed zero evidence of any head injuries and that was confirmed through MRI/CT scans.

Bauer already announced he's appealing it, and rightfully so

Sorry Trev, you already committed the worst offense the league office can possibly imagine, which is making baseball look bad. Doesn't matter if it happened or didn't, people just hear there's a rapist pitching and they're already outraged.

I don't like the Dodgers but he got shafted.

With the new rules, teams sure are bullying the fuck out of each others when hot. It's kinda weird to adapt to but seeing a 10+ run gap end will be new normal. NYY did a 12-2 last night and looking savage. Why the FUCK aren't they kissing Judges ass more? But Rizzo is a monster.

While Phillies REALLY need to step up on Ws I think they are playing strong, and we don't have much longer to shoot up as DeGrom will be back soon (mets) will make us holding top dog (and how we are playing) should be.

He also allegedly choked her out and when she came to, he was pounding the chocolate starfish without consent.

In my opinion Bauer is fucked. I never looked into him much beyond watching the Indians 22 game win streak and playoff run in 2017. Quick scan of his wikipedia (I dislike wikipedia but still) , youtube channels ( Momentum & Trevor Bauer ) , social media etc and you can tell he's an edgy boi with the wrong politics for the media. People like Aubrey Huff and Curt Shilling at least waited till retirement to go all the way over the edge and still get crap for it. Signing with a big market team like LA Dodgers probably sped up this demise. I don't know if he did what he's accused of or not but millionaire pro athletes shouldn't be picking up random sluts anymore, there have been too many cash grabbing lawsuits like this. Read some bios and you will see a lot of respected veteran baseball stars married their college girlfriends, better way to not get screwed with accusations. However the way Bauer is this guy would have been better off banging a porn star or something. Anyway, poor little millionaire.. if he keeps failing at life becoming an iP2 streamer is always an option!

In Dodgers pitching news that's more upbeat, Clayton Kershaw just recorded his 2697th strikeout (Spencer Torkelson, the #1 prospect in the game was the victim) to pass Hall of Famer Don Sutton for the most strikeouts in a Dodgers uniform. Kershaw recorded the other two outs of the inning via strikeout later on.

Yesterday the Mets achieved a five pitcher combined no-hitter as they beat Philly 3-0 at home. It was the second no-hitter in Mets history. Their only other one was done by Johan Santana against the Cardinals almost a decade ago.
