Somehow watching Dubya's favorite team shell Dean Kremer like they were Hamas and sweep the O's has me actually optimistic. Is this finally the year that the Rangers don't suffer some hilarious misfortune? After all the yapping the commentators did about Kremer being "the first Israeli ace pitcher" and "dedicating his start to the tragedy in Israel", he gets two moonshots hit off him, gives up 6 and comes out before the end of the 3rd and the commentators shut up about Israel after that. Maybe the Rangers really do have the might of Allah behind them this year.
By the way, I looked up Kremer after the commentators wouldn't shut up about him being "Israeli"...he's from California.

I really hate sports nationality laws. Naturalized citizens and people who have never lived in a country should not be allowed to play for that country. It's how Italy makes the WBC nearly every time...they have really lax citizenship laws that make it really easy for Italian-Americans to get Italian citizenship and that lets them build their whole team out of Americans who don't live in Italy and can't speak Italian. Same thing for Nootbaar on Japan- I was shocked that they even let him on because he's a hapa who's never lived or played in Japan as far as I know, and the Japanese seem too xenophobic to let someone like that on their team.
