Both overcame pretty stiff competition in the LCS to get there. My brain is saying it's a toss-up. My heart is saying Rangers in 6 to finally get their first Commissioner's Trophy.D-Backs vs. Rangers. Who do you have winning it all?
Rangers lineup will be too much for Dbacks pitching but the Rangers only have two solid pitchers in Montgomery and Eovaldi. I expect them to struggle when it moves past them. As a result I say Rangers in 6.D-Backs vs. Rangers. Who do you have winning it all?
As an embittered Phils fan, I also think that people focus too much in stats and data to remember that baseball, like all sports, relies on luck, and I think they blew all theirs on the regular season and the Braves. Our closer cost is two games.
Really let down. D backs played well we got cold I think a lot was just cooked morale.
Kinda cool wild card teams going to WS.
Wasn't just the closer. Swinging for the fences at every at bat (which admittedly is a league wide problem) might work when your bats are hot, but when they cool down (which they did after the Phils went to Arizona) you need a plan B, in this case, "situational hitting". I was cringing during the last 2 games of the series watching one Phillie after another try to hero ball their way back into the game. The ending of that series was unfortunate from a Philly perspective, but not surprising considering how they approached their offensive output. Our closer cost is two games.

Three little words: "double play depth". And this was after all the media fawning over the Yankees being in the WS after 9/11.Yeah. Gonzalez destroyed the Yanks in that series.
I boycotted that 2001 World Series because of the 9/11 shit the media was laying in so thick, it felt rigged as fuck. When I found out about Byung-hyun Kim, who had been amazing that year, completely fall apart in Yankee Stadium, I felt justified in my boycott.Three little words: "double play depth". Looks like we're both about to be wrong in terms of games played. Guessing the party in the DFW area will be epic.Rangers lineup will be too much for Dbacks pitching but the Rangers only have two solid pitchers in Montgomery and Eovaldi.
