I'm pulling for a Subway Series to be honest
When my team gets eliminated I become a professional hater, and I 100% want the Mets to win it all because it would cause great amounts of Dodgers, Yankees, and Phillies seethe, and maybe Braves but to a lesser extent.

If the Mets don't make it I don't know who to root for because either way it's going to have seethe but also insufferable arrogance. I view a Yankees loss as an immediate seethe payout, because they would have missed a WS win AGAIN and will probably lose Soto, and I view a Dodgers loss as a risky seethe investment. If the Dodgers lose in the WS the seethe won't be as strong as a Yankees loss because they still have NINE years of Ohtani, and the probability they don't make the WS again in those nine years is slim, but if they can't win it all next year, and the year after that and so on, the seethe will bubble and brew with the potential of a seethe explosion once they start getting towards the end of the Ohtani contract.

I honestly can't decide between Yankees and Dodgers if it comes to that (which it probably will) so I will probably just have to bet money on it so I give a shit about the result because I seriously would just want both teams to lose so badly.

I'm a Mets fan, but I've really developed a lot of respect for the Phillies over the past few years, mostly because I absolutely love Kyle Schwarber and Zack Wheeler. Also because both teams typically play at the same level of intensity and never bore me.

Just wanted to commiserate. I'd rather see the Mets or Phillies playing the Yankees. I have no interest in the Dodgers, even if a Yankees-Dodgers WS would be the best outcome for MLB itself.

edit: why's he spell it with a K?

Do what I do.

Go with the team that has less niggers.

Manfred is gooning so hard right now.
Whats funny is that last year it was two wildcards making to the world series. But MLB to going to jerk off this world series rather than looking at the 121 loss white soxs , the Athletics making shit teams before moving to Las Vegas and the dumpster fires of the Angels and Rockies.

Kind of random story, the yanks underarmor/turtlenecks are vintage equipment from the 90s they had in storage.

This is a story? Vapid journalism.
I don't know why he kept throwing Soto strikes, he had 2 balls to work with and he was fouling everything, try to get some chase or something idk. Oh well, just another year for Cleveland. Hopefully the fans are used to it by now.
Terry Francona breathed a sigh of relief.

I actually came out of that series pretty optimistic. This wasn't just another year for us. We finished at almost .600 winning percentage, won our division, won a tough ALDS against a Tigers team that will definitely be back with a vengeance, and took the ALCS to a decisive game 5 that was competitive until the end. And we did it all with a first year manager that has undoubtedly been manager of the year in my eyes. I expect this team to return to the ALCS next year.

I feel terrible for Indians' fans. I really think that they had a great chance against the Yankees but they lost winnable games and sequences due to a combination of incompetence and bad luck.

Why the fuck did they ever give Clase a shot to fuck shit up in high leverage situations ? The Yanks have historically been great against him and this is something that the Indians' manager should have had more foresight on. Then they double down on that fuck up because they want to give the nigger a shot at redemption.

We did have a great chance. Unfortunately, we relied too heavily on our bullpen to win games because we don't have a starting rotation that can go 6 innings consistently. With the exception of Bibee, our rotation hasn't been great all year. Losing Shane Bieber for the second year in a row has really done a number on our pitching. However, our bullpen massively improved from last season (and I'd argue that it has improved since 2022) and was the reason we got as far as we did. Clase was a major part of that, as was Hunter Gaddis and Eli Morgan. But you can't make every game a bullpen game, especially in the playoffs.

I don't think the decision to put Clase in high leverage situations was wrong. He's proven to be clutch for a few years now and has gotten us out of some tough jams. However, he doesn't have a pitch mix that keeps hitters guessing or on their heels. The Yankees do great against fastballs and cutters, especially Soto, Judge, and Stanton. I agree that more foresight should have been given, but considering what we have seen all year from Clase, I feel that Vogt made the decision based on good data. He'll learn from this and adjust accordingly.

The 2000 World Series had so much hype behind it. I genuinely thought it would be a full 7 game series. I wasn't disappointed that the Yankees won, but the 4-1 landslide was just terrible. It could have been so much more.

Roberts is already fucking shit up and the Dodgers are down 1-0.

Why the fuck would he start Kopech ? He hasn't started in forever and has been spraying shit all over the place.

Fuck this shit.

Edit: Teoscar you fucking nigger. Why the fuck were you not running hard ? Should have gotten to 2nd base easily on that hit instead of trying to "show out" and expecting that it would be a homer.

Edit: Attaboy Edman, way to pull that ball and get the Dodgers ahead 2-1 !

Edit: Banda loads the fucking bases on a hit by pitch...I mean, this is why Bullpen games are never as reliable as people think they are. Somehow he's able to get out of that jam.

Edit: Edman the half-gook does it again with a 2 run blast ! Fuck yeah ! 4-1 Dodgers now !

Edit: Smith gets in on the action with a 2 run homer ! Feel good for him because he was an absolute waste of human space with the bat recently. 6-1 Dodgers now.

Edit: This is why I hate nigger Roberts so much. He makes decisions that immediately backfire. This faggot puts in Brasier and he immediately gets jacked for a 2 run homer to make the score 6-3.

Edit: Mets deploy Edwin Diaz and he immediately gets the top of the Dodgers' order to fire blanks. You get the feeling that the game is balanced on a knife edge right now, with Brasier having to go against the middle of the Mets lineup going into the 5th. Can't shake this bad feeling...

Edit: Going into the top of the 9th with the Dodgers up 10-4. Clinical execution with the bat. In Treinen we trust. By the way, he hates faggots and trannies almost as much as I do, given that he and Kershaw are on Team Christ is King.

The word "sustainability" has spun around in my head during Cleveland's entire season. Honestly, they were lucky to get as far as they did, and ran into a superior team. Unfortunately, I have the feeling that they're due for a regression next year, because there's no way the bullpen is going to be that good again.

Yankees vs Dodgers, for WS? Well, baseball is pay to win apparently.

Yeah, I'll want to see Judge get his WS. As a closeted Yankees fan and also rational human AKA hate the Dodgers I think I know who I'm pulling for.

As much as I root for small market teams, this Yankees vs. Doyers series is almost guaranteed to be kino.
It fucking better be considering the pain and suffering will we have to endure for the next year, but I agree.

Good for Yankees and Dodger fans, and good for Manfred I'm sure he is over the moon. I know a lot of people didn't like having two kind of random, wild card teams last year (personally I had a blast hehehe) and only about 2/5 of the games were great so hopefully this one gets more eyes and gets more people out of their seats.

I'll probably put ~200 bucks on the Yankees so I care about the results, and I also think the Yankees will win since Rodon has looked sharper in these last 2 games than he has in years. Having to face Gerrit Cole or Rodon 4 times in a series when they are on top of their game is a tough ask even with the Dodgers lineup of death.

I'm praying it's a sweep by the dodgers.

The only reason that I'm rooting for the Dodgers is because of Ohtani but I'll take it.

Betting markets have the Dodgers as -135 favorites, while pricing the Yanks at +110. I've seen a few publications and commentators picking the Dodgers in 6.

Yanks have the edge in starting pitching, but it does seem as though the Dodgers are better everywhere else.

Dodgers have the better overall lineup and definitely the better relief pitching. The question will be if the gap between the starting pitchers is enough for the Yanks to come out on top.

Then again, this is playoff Baseball and crazy shit is bound to happen so who knows ?
