Pirates, i gotta ask, what the fuck are you doing making this kind of commitment to a guy that's never played in the majors?
If you're that confident a young player is going to be a star, or at least a consistently pretty good player, then get the big contract out of the way now and don't worry about it for the next decade. If Konnor Griffin turns out to be as good as the hype, the Pirates will be getting a bargain for his services. If he sucks, well $15.5 million per year isn't the end of the world in the grand scheme of things.

My boss and her husband went to the Guardians' home opener yesterday. A home run in the seventh inning hit him in the face and knocked a few of his teeth out.

My Jays got embarrassed by the goddamn White Sox today. I swear to God, Schneider lives to coach us out of winnable games, and we just extended him.

The positive I can take from this is that Munetaka is at least not going from NPB top slugger to worst-team-in-the-entire-league Sox. They don't look like they're gonna lose 100 games this time

I wish the dodgers would stop winning in such exciting ways
They won 5 comeback wins already.

Having the ability to consistently pull off comeback wins is good, but needing to isn't. Still very early in the season so I'm not worried about it now because the Dodgers have had a few truly dominant wins, but a couple of months from now if that trend persists I will be.

Well it's looking like they won't have to come back in this game. Sorry @Leaf Wage Slave Jr

EDIT: and of course since I said anything, the Braves are getting blown out tonight, by the Angels.

Getting blown out by the World Series Champs honestly hurts less than getting swept by the Goddamn White Sox. I’m just going to hope (read: cope) that we’re just getting all our really shit games out of the way early, but the Jays have always been a team to go ice cold for no reason.

I know I blame Schneider for a lot of things with this team, but I swear he got extended and paid after making it a Game 7 World Series so he stopped giving a shit about how the team performs.

Well that was a cool game like spanking a baby with a battle axe

I heard a bunch of Blue Jays are down with the flu so it makes sense why they got curb stomped

A rather unfortunate event occurred during the Rays vs. Cubs game on April 7th. A fat man tripped while chasing a foul ball, causing the Tampa and Chicago metro areas to see his whole ass on live TV.

Braves win
Soler and Lopez threw punches at each other, both getting ejected

EDIT: Was finally able to get the video downloaded
