Today I was literally thinking to myself, "wow, since the introduction of ABS, I haven't once been filled with a desire to violently choke out an umpire over a missed call. It's so cool how they don't have to chimp out and dig in their heels any more over obvious mistakes. What a great improvement to the game!"

Thank you, Junior Valentine, for reminding us that MLB umpires remain petty and insufferable babies.

Baty is a notorious whiner. But if casually whining about balls and strikes actually got players thrown out, every game would be a forfeit by the middle of the 3rd.

And if Valentine threw him out for arguing balls and strikes, that would at least be his prerogative. He didn't do that. Instead he just arbitrarily took one of the team's ABS challenges.

The rule on what constitutes a challenge is clear, and Baty did not signal a challenge. An umpire ignored the rules either because he was being a petty bitch, or because he was retarded and didn't know the rule. And then he dug his heels in like a toddler when his failure was pointed out. Fuck him.

I don't give a shit about the Mets, and NYC should fall into the ocean. Defending the ump here is retarded.

See, the catch is that Baty BAITED the ump with a FEIGNT toward tapping his helmet, after calling it a bad call, Baty ABSOLUTELY should've been thrown out, he's a whiny sneaky piece of shit, just as you said, and the Mets should be grateful that the ump "misunderstood" Baty, and grateful that there's no sub-challenges to challenge challenges.
 
My job has told me if I make one more Don Mattingly joke they will fire me.

But he's the first basemen. Actually it's weird as a huge phils fan, I didn't know of any drama or anything why we sucked so hard but Donny baseball really has been turning us around.
 
The Jays have been getting absolutely raped by injuries this season. Like half of our players are still injured and/or recovering. Barger came back for a single game, did a crazy outfield throw, and was sent back down because of elbow pain. Vladdy and Cease both injured in the same game (likely not too major, I hope) and we're stuck with fucking Davis Schneider, Lenyn Sosa and all of the bullpen terrorists who can't pitch for shit

"Jeremy Pena fielded a no-hitter" would be more accurate.

The franchise's 18th, which is tied for 3rd all time despite being an expansion team. For comparison, the Angels are 2nd for expansion teams at 12. It's their 8th in the last 11 years, and their only highlight in what has been so far a well-overdue trainwreck of a season.

Still somehow only 3.5 games out of 1st because of how garbage the AL West is.

Who would've guessed that the entire NL West would be above .500 by this point? Meanwhile, the M's are on top of their division with a .500 record.
