Mets dumping Mendoza might give them a slight boost because he was a horrific manager and they needed the change, but the bigger issue is that awful GM of theirs. Practically unlimited money to work with, Stearns put together a terrible team with the second highest payroll in all of MLB that's 13 games under .500 at the end of June with almost nothing of value to trade away and a weak farm system to build from.

Should've fired Mendoza after they got swept at Dodgers stadium. Should've fired Mendoza at the end of last season.

The Mets don't have a TEAM, we got a bunch of guys wearing uniforms. Nothing fits together, nobody plays together, there's no plan. How exactly are we supposed to WIN? Pitching? we suck. Hitting? We can barely get 2 runs a game, so what exactly is our win condition here? Right, nothing.

Nevermind this franchise is completely allergic to Japanese talent. They tried Kodai Senga, it didn't work, and they raged quit the country ever since. No one is gonna convince they even look at Japanese talent anymore.

Stearns is a BUM, and why they were so desperate to bring him here is beyond me, he has no credentials. "Well you know, the Brewers were kinda good" SO? What has he won, oh NOTHING? Great. Now we're gonna waste a whole other season, bringing in a new manager, ending up firing Stearns anyway.

Wake me up when its 2028, we fucking suck
