$ (BAT) Basic Attention Token

Then it brings the question, are there repecussions for using a VPN while earning BAT?
Not seeing as many ads, probably. Or maybe seeing more. Aside from that, I don't think anything.
So what's the best region to set Brave to for the most ads?
Depends on what regions the ads they sell target, but I think the US is your best bet.
I wasn't even aware that clicking on the ads did anything, I've been letting them sit in my notifications and periodically clearing them out when they got in the way.
It doesn't.

Shit, I had been using Brave since June of last year and totally forgot to even make a cryptowallet (do note that I am crypto-illiterate). Any good sites to make one?

I think I have been sitting on a lot of BAT

They have one with Uphold that you have to use first before you can transfer out.
I am also not very clued in on these fake computer monies but I'm hearing that you should stay away from coinbase for reasons.

This is from like six months of adverts. I fuckin love the future :story:

I forget to do my monthly check in so I do not have much but used brave for 2 years so far. But I end up donating what little I do end up getting to the site.
Kind of wish there was a way to automatically just get your monthly coin or am I missing something in the settings?

If your browser is linked to Uphold, the deposit is automatic. You only have to "claim" it if it's not linked.

I did not know this.
I heard people talk about it but didn't know what it was.

Doing that now, thanks!

Two big reasons. High fees when converting too and from fiat, and when you trade on the exchange you do not have positive ownership of the cryptos. You need to move them off the exchange into your own wallet first. Which you can do, but its a convoluted step for some people.

The positive side of things though is Coinbase is pretty easy to use, generally provides good information on various things, and for a casual investor (like myself), does not allow you to trade in more "experimental" stuff that might blow up in your face overnight. Its also got the imprimatur of institutional support as its a publicly listed company now. Meaning the SEC has at least glanced at their books. For the ANCAP crowd that counts a con, but for me its a pro. Some scratch and sniff crypto brokerages may offer little or no fees, but the trade off there is you can't truly trust them.

Another nice thing about CoinBase is every once in a while they add a coin to "CoinBase Earn," where you watch little videos and do a quiz to get $3-50 of that coin.

(I havent checked it on a little while; I hope they havent done one yet for BAT, because the reward is measured in $, so if they offered it during the pump you'd get fewer BAT coins per $)

They did one for BAT a while ago https://www.coinbase.com/earn/basic-attention-token it's all claimed, not sure they'd bother again unless it was part of an ad deal since I get a lot of coinbase ads.

Really? I have been dumping it on the MATI site as an old instruction said. 20-22 bucks this summer and 5 bucks a month or two ago. Have I just been wasting my crypto-sheckels?
I think the MATI site is fine for the moment, probably still better to do to it from a separate wallet if possible.

So I operate Brave on both my PC, and my phone. I don't know what it is, but I am getting the maximum amount of ads on my phone, and my PC ads are still substantial but no where near the phone.
