$ (BAT) Basic Attention Token

False.

I had a friend of mine sit besides me and tally up the amount of time that I spent on fooling with Brave ADs over the course of a day, and I would've saved over 10 minutes in a single day. Which is about an extra hour a week. About an extra day a month, nearly two weeks a year. These are moments of your life that you'll never get back and you are just giving it to some souless corporation for 1's and 0's on a computer screen that will disappear from existence completely once we get a particularly bad solar flare one day.

Not me, not my life, not on my watch.

I literally don't even see the ads. I click the notification then immediately click close before the ad even appears.

The amount of BAT rewards on the picture indicated that you say 5 adds at most. I'm willing to wager that you only saw 2 or 3, but i'll give you 5 at most.
Now you expect us to believe it took you 10 whole minutes to click "close" on a tiny tab to the side five times at most?

2) Dipshit, if if your gay little story is true, you just admitted to sitting there on the computer over the course of day just to add up how many seconds you spent clicking the "close" button on an add, AND claim to have dragged a friend into your monotonous plot, YET you claim that clicking the "close" button on a few adds in exchange for what amounts to free money is a "waste of time"?

Has anyone ever encountered losing BAT at your monthly cash in? I got mine today and when I dragged the triangle icon to the square, my wallet dropped about 6 BAT total. I'm a hardcore holder, I have made no contributions and have auto-contribute turned off. But my (browser) wallet just straight fucking deducted shit.

But I've already verified this wallet! how do I back it up? ugh...

We can all hope that BAT some day reaches ETH prices and null would have made us all wealthy.
perhaps I should send in a proposition to get onboard the BAT advertising train to a certain fortune 100 corp I'm affiliated with.
Surely marketing majors would love getting a nice letter about "FOR THE FIRST TIME: advertisements people actually want to click on!"

Edit: Is it just me or are the BAT rewards increasing per ad as well? I used to be lucky to get one BAT a month and now I'm getting 3-4 at the same advert viewership rate.

Maybe they finally banned the jeets

Did you guys get all your pending BAT? i got only about 10% and the rest is still pending...

Anybody know why Brave stops giving BAT to some people after 2 months. I tried everything, clearing cache and cookies, deleting Brave and reinstalling it, stopped using a vpn, there also seems to be no option to check if notifications are available for Brave on windows.

Doesn't seem like an isolated case and when I went to their support threads the staff was very vague and weird about it which usually led them to asking people to pm them their info for them to fix it instead of giving a public answer.

Someone in the thread where Null posted about using Brave posted this Reddit link that solved the issue for me. I hadn't received ads/BAT since mid-October (been using Brave without a hitch before that since mid-2020) and this fixed things for me in regards to not getting ads/BAT. I'll post the tl;dr part of the link below. It's as easy as can be to do.

Go to brave://flags and enable flags for 1) enable-system-notifications and 2) brave ads custom notifications and restart Brave.

I banged my head against the wall (figuratively) trying to get ads to work on Windows 7 and this fixed it completely. Thank you very much.

I'm a hardcore holder. I have 280~330 BAT across different devices and didn't cash out when it was well over $500.
I feel like people who are a bit greedy but not greedy enough to attempt day trading always go through the first phase of hardcore hodling, because that's what initially made them money when they forgot they had bitcoin during their first bear market, but eventually have to painfully learn to take profits along the way. It'll become an even more critical skill if we're indeed seeing "lengthening cycles, diminishing returns" in crypto, as sitting on it until it does another 10x and then continue sitting on it for a bit longer becomes unrealistic especially for those who are heavily invested.
